Dishonest pricing in addition to being overpriced. I went in person after the store showed up on instacart but for pickup only. The app claimed it had the same in store pricing. So since the prices were decent, there seemed to be a good selection, and a few good sales I decided to check it out. The sale signs are unclear. Most places specify if you need to buy 2 for the sale price since typically if its 2 for $5 one will be $2.50. I was also charged multiple prices for Chobani 100 yogurt depending on the flavor. So the signs stating it was on sale were deceiving and purposely so. In addition the sales I saw on instacart were no where to be found. I will not be back.

Truth Music Studio

The grocery store is new to the Baldwin area but its one of the better ones around and the cleanest by far. The juice bar is awesome, you order your juice, go shopping and they will bring it to you & serve you as you shop (have to ask if the juice person is in). The eggs and juices are always low priced and the rest of the items are fair to moderate. The seafood area looks clean and has a nice selection including squid. There are lots of items even some rare to find fruits and Spanish vegetables i the produce section. Overall never a bad place to try out and they have FREE delivery.

The way you promote the various items on your weekly listing is terrible. Showing a header promotion of fruit and incorporating various sales prices of meat and fruit in a long paragraph is tedious reading. Why not focus on produce in SHORT paragraphs; and meat in another paragraph; and the same with other dry goods that you wish to advertise. Too much verbiage in your advertisements makes it difficult for a consumer to focus on what they are looking for; take a cue from your competitors.

Outstanding!!! Really enjoy shopping at the Baldwin Gala. We lost the Walbaums down in Baldwin Harbor replaced with a crappy Stop and Shop. After a few weeks of buying stale fruits and being deceived at the counter I thought I give Gala a try. During my first visit I noticed the cleanliness and great customer service have been shopping at this location ever since. What I really enjoy the free delivery option my wife uses when she shops with the children.

I was glad when they came to Sheepshead Bay, but they do not carry a large selection of gluten free products. I go to Stop and Shop, because they have one aisle that is for all gluten free and organic products, which make it easy to find.. the small amount that they did carry was all over the place and i had to constantly ask, where is this located? I too will give it a few more tries, if nothing changes, then Stop N Shop will still have my business.

I was glad to see a new store take over Waldbaums in Sheepshead, but it just seems to be a glorified Key Food with high prices. That was my first and last visit to the store. Pretty disappointing considering all the good reviews for these stores in LI area. Stop and Shop is 5 min away and their prices and organic selection is MUCH better. Chery Hill a block away is also much better option.

Great grocery store for the community. Its small but the produce is always so fresh. They are very active with the community, providing free rides to and from the store, as well as delivery. They also host fun events for the community. I would have given it 5 stars, but on 3 occasions I have walk out with expired items and had to return them, so check the expiration dates!!

I love this local grocery store. There is a great selection for its size. The fresh fruit and veggies always seem to be fresher and more tasty than the stuff I get at the larger supermarket. Its always clean. The prices are good. And lastly but not least, they use sturdy plastic bags that dont rip or tear easily. I can reuse use them to clean the litter pans.

They have a good produce section at good prices! I even was able to get organic milk in a glass bottle. Hope traffic picks up in the store so that turnaround will stay consistent. Nice to see a quality store open up in the neighborhood. Check out has been very quick the few times I shopped there. Much better then Stop and Shop. Keep up the good work!

My husband has visited this store twice already and he cant stop talking about how clean,neat and reasonable the prices are. Also the fact that all of the fish are Wild Caught except Tilapia because they arent grown in the wild of course. He purchased me a fruit bowl during one of his visits and it was absolutely delicious and fresh. I was beyond pleased.

I would love to continue shopping at Gala but they are not competitive enough. A bit over average prices, small selection, not supplied with every day essentials. I will return in three months time. if not improved, will shop else ware for another three months and try again. Gala you will have two chances. after that will not waist my time and money

That was my first and last visit to the store on ocean ave. Very disappointed. The most unorganized and filthy place ever. Food not fresh. I had to throw away everything i bought in Gala Fresh Farms. Bread smell moldy, russian cookies taste different , very old looking package,avocado rotten ,brown inside. Never again!

Nice adequate selection, in between a fully stocked supermarket and a 7-Eleven, price wise as well.. The fish department reeks something god awful ,its seriously unbearable and forced me to quit shopping and just leave a few times.its very local though so I return ,but try to avoid that section.

I find Gala Market to be one of the better supermarkets in the Freeport, Baldwin area. The employees are VERY accommodating the store is VERY clean, the prices are are comparable. The aisles are not cluttered with the usual pop up displays, so you can shop without dodging displays.

Best meat youll find anywhere plus the butchers arent hidden behind a door or glass - you can actually speak right to them. Fresh, varied produce and a surprisingly broad beer selection. Bottom line - if you cant find it at Gala you probably dont need it.

New supermarket in Baldwin. The produce is very fresh and substantially cheaper than other supermarkets in Baldwin. The Deli people are very friendly. It is always neat and has enough parking space. Definitely would recommend

A good grocery, with an excellent fresh fruit and vegetable section. What I like best is some of their specialty items, like "Monkey Bread," that one cant find elsewhere.
