January 6 12:50 pm...Roosevelt, NY.....Waited at unattended deli department...after long wait I decided to call front area and was told someone would be over to help. after a few minutes went by a employee (who later said he was the asst store manager) walked by and said the deli person called out. I stated that he did not say anything to me when he walked by the first time. I gave up on trying to by cold cuts. I expressed my situation to a cashier who stated that he was the designated deli person and that I would have to wait until hes finished for service. I usually get great service at the deli department. The Roosevelt Western Beef has greatly improved itself over the last few years and I would hate to see it go backwards because of lack of service I eventually went to compare foods for my cold cuts

Only a couple of registers were open, the deli department wasnt clean it had fried chicken crumbs outside the boarder of the glass view window and the side part of the border came apart, they also advertise cold sandwiches which the bread cart where the heros/rolls etc are was empty except 1 small hard hero that was left so when asked to open a fresh pkg of hero bread you are told to buy it first then take out the bread for your sandwich even though that cart is supposed to stay full the bread is baked right on the premises so all in all not a pretty sight to be getting your food from in that area!!

This place is horrible!! Everybody had an attitude from the man who worked in the meat department to the older lady at the register. I never shop at this place and this is one of the reasons why. I was only in to get the special on oxtails. After todays unpleasant experience I will not return . I will spend my money where you can get decent customer service.

The deli counter woman must be going through a midlife crisis because her attitude was disgusting but after taking a closer look I saw she looked that part as well. They need to find someone with manners that will be handling customers food. That was not a pleasant experience and they just lost customers.

They Need Fresher Fruits, Vegetables & MEAT!!! They also need 2 get more cashiers & open more registers. Thats why i go 2 the Westernbeef In W.Hempstead They Even Have A Fresh Seafood Department

Horrible. Expired foods. Rowdy people that hang outside of the market. Cruddy place. If you are looking for something cheap this is the place to go , but its kind of filthy.

The staff are very helpful and if youre looking for prime cuts of meats they have just about everything including whole Brisket with the flat and point.
