I come here often for fried fish that I just dont have the time or patience to cook at home. Rarely do they disappoint! The prices are always right and the portions are great sizes! I can usually get two meals from one dinner platter. Each platter comes with a huge cube of cornbread. My favorite platters are the whiting and flounder. The fried salmon is good too, just not a great fish to fry in my opinion. It would be nice if they offered baked versions as well. The sides (mac & cheese, candied yams, collards, string beans, potato salad) are good too. I had one bad batch of potato salad (had a hair in it) and collards (were gritty). I dont recommend the mixed vegetables. While they are tasty, they are the same mixed veggies that you can get in the frozen food section of your supermarket. The desserts are yummy. They make a decent peach cobbler and several cakes.

I tried this place out because my normal place got shut down. I wanted them to cut me up 4 fillets from 2 fish. 2 of the fillets were good and meaty while the other 2 were small and jacked up with bones still on them. The guy took a good 10min chopping up the fish. Not sure if it was his first day or what. You would think with all that time they would be beautiful. The quality of the fish was so-so. It didnt taste super fresh but I wouldnt say it was bad or anything. I am going to try a few more places before going back. The selection was a little week as well. You arent going to find a whole lot there. Mainly the cheaper fishes. There was no tuna for example. I donlt think there was catfish either.
