This place is awesome! Always great cuts and incredibly helpful. We werent really sure what we wanted for our barbecue, but we decided to go to the Meat Market. They were VERY helpful offering some options and instruction on how to cook it also. This place is a gem for the Wharton area. The amount of foot traffic through is definitely an indicator that theyre doing something right.

Sussex always has quality cut meat. Competitive pricing compared to places around the area and good customer service behind the meat counter. Sandwiches and that sort are also very good and the portions sizes for dollars spent is great. Can be a bit slow sometimes and tend to mess up small parts of the order. Adding tomatoe when ask for none. But that isnt really a big deal.

The meat is phenomenal and the prices reasonable. The customer service is so wonderful you feel like you have been transported back to a simpler, happier time. The farm fresh milk in GLASS bottles is to die for. If you have small children the pond outside is a lovely spot to watch the swans for a bit.

My wife and I go here when we need a really good cut of meat for a special occasion. We should shop here more often, but its not close to home and therefore we forget about it. We have never been disappointed with the things we have purchased here, meat, frozen food, etc.

Best meat. Super friendly and knowledgeable butchers. Amazing pulled pork (make sure you get the coleslaw to put on top of the pulled pork sandwiches).
