If they had a negative then thats what they would get.. I have been shopping at this store for the last 6 years.. At times 2 and 3 times a week and its always something.. Tonight was the straw that broke the camels back.. No one and I mean no one should be made felt a criminal except those that are.. Ringing all my stuff in the self service line because only 1 register was open.. The young man who watches over had come to mine 2or 3 times during the sale.. So hes not far away, as matter fact hes standing in the next lane over bagging.. At the end I have 3 cases of water (all the same of course..) So I scan one 3 times.. As I go to pay, I see the manager come around the back and say to the girl make sure she got the water at the bottom.. She tells another girl who then comes over as Im bagging my stuff and say "Did u get the water at the bottom" So I say to her yes want to check my receipt.. In which she takes from me to look at.. Now Im annoyed cause theres ppl walking out w/ no one asking them anything.. So, I express to her that Im not surprised because as much as Im in there they do it ever time, even if I only have a hand full of items.. As we are talking, the manager comes over instead of him asking whats going on, he jumps in and says this what we do to everybody.. My response is really I just seen ppl walking out and no one said anything to them.. I paid for all of my items even the 2 pouches my son ate when we first got there.. Its just ridiculous.. Long story short.. Ive never stole anything from them or any other store.. I am a God fearing Christan who takes my Gods words seriously.. I dont have to steal.. Ive done pretty well for me and mine, if I dont say so myself.. But, not once did he say "Sorry its a misunderstanding or even Im sorry you feel that way.. Nothing but he did ask me if Im working there 70 hrs a week..? Like seriously.. What does that have to do with it. He knows nothing about me or what I do.. Its horrible.. And, I was absolutely embarrassed.. Its sad that in this day and age ppl are still judging books by there cover.. So in conclusion.. I will never spend another dollar of my money there again.. Sucks because its close to my home.. But, Ill go out of way not to be treated like a criminal just to get food for my family..

ALSO MINUS A STAR: No stars. I think the deli is a good gauge by which to rate a store, and let me tell you...the Stop & Shop deli in Toms River have the worst staff I have ever come across. Ive stood there for 5 minutes waiting to be helped while 3 people are back there cleaning and not even turning around...worse, they might glance at you, not smile, and continue cleaning thinking that one of their co-workers will take you. I have been there when there are 3 people waiting, one person slicing, and the other 2 are wondering around. Theres an older tall lady with glasses who is particularly rude...she always makes me feel like Im bothering her, like Im interrupting her day. She never smiles and she makes you feel like you cant even ask her a question, never mind asking for thin cold cuts. And another thing, when I ask for thin, most of them really dont know what that means. Listen, I know the thinner the cold cut gets, the more it will stick...just give me thin cut when I ask for it and Ill worry how Ill pull it apart in my own house, thank you very much.

I moved to the area about 10 months ago and starting shopping at Stop And Shop. What an experience. You wait forever at the deli, when it is finally your turn, they go as slow as a turtle when slicing your meat. You finally get your meat after 20+ minutes of waiting only to find they did not slice the meat or cheese thin like you asked for. On a nicer note. There is a man from England who is one of the cashiers he is a pleasure to deal with and always in a great mood and you can see that he truely loves his job and the customers. I always try to get in his line. He makes me laugh after a horrible shopping experience. This man deserves a raise. Shoprite is much better but further for me to get there.

Im a vendor so Im in that store 4 to 5 times a day, the overall store is clean, employees are nice, but that customer bathroom is one of the worse Ive ever been around. Its cleaned regularly, but it doesnt matter because theres no ventilation what so ever. The smell of latest persons bowel movement hangs in the air for hours, and even seeps into the hallway and store, disgusting. They try and cover it up with cleaner or sprays, but it doesnt work. They need a new air system or something in there to vent it.

Prices are higher yet their quality is not much better than their competitors. Their shopping carts are in serious need of replacement. They are always out of multiple items on my list so I end up having to go somewhere else afterwards to finish my shopping. Their bags have gotten smaller and flimsier so everything has to be double bagged. Their produce selection is hit or miss and has deteriorated over the years. The only advantage they have is that their store is conveniently located.

Clean,services was good,had what I was looking for,help was there when needed,,only thing I had a cashier call me over and I had 5 to meny and she was in 15 or less,,now the store was not bussy at all,and to complain to the customer about it was in fall for,and she dont greet with a smile or not was she pleasant,,to be working with the public

Clean store, doesnt have a big seafood section but otherwise is ok. Make sure to check the dates on what you buy. Ive brought several items to the register on every trip Ive made there for them to take off the shelf because they were months and in one instance over a year past the expiration date!

My wife and I are vegan and shop here pretty frequently because we live so close-by but their lack of vegan options is still a little disappointing. There are no vegan cheese substitutes and absolutely no non-dairy yogurt in the whole store. Otherwise its nothing special.

I always go and pick up odds and ends. But I have to say the store smells of rotten food the minute you walk in and it looks very dirty. And the fish department smells so bad!!!!!!! I dont recommend doing a big food shopping at this place.

Store well appointed, staff ok, took the lady at courtesy a few minutes to acknowledge the fact that I was there. Their bakery department had lots of options and was very well decorated.

Its usually busy when I go here, but they almost always have everything I need, and I get in and out usually while using the Scan It! Devices and the self check out lanes.

Nice clean Grocer if you need something generally you will find it here, and with a smile! Very busy parking lot with only one entry/exit so be careful.
