I’m not one to leave bad reviews (or any reviews at all for that matter). However, I felt compelled to write one in hopes to protect other consumers from making the same mistake I did. I’ve experienced buying many cars (used and new) and this was by far the worst car buying experience I have ever had. I bought a vehicle from AMG Auto in September 2016 and I’m still living through the awful process of trying to get it running correctly. After putting over $8k in repairs and maintenance the past few months, I’m still having issues. They try to tack on a 3k “dealership fee” which they say covers the cost of getting the vehicle up to par on maintenance when no money was put into my vehicle. The brakes screamed the whole way home since the pads were that worn down, the sidewalls of the tires had punctures in them, my vehicle had AC and other electrical issues (I later realized), I needed a new timing chain which cost about $5k and their garbage Auto Source insurance didn’t cover. Not to mention, other pumps and belts that were never changed that needed to be. They also lied and said the “Platinum” extended warranty coverage is bumper to bumper. That was obviously not the case since I’ve been dumping money into many items that aren’t on the normal wear and tear. If the warranty does cover something, they give you the reimbursement of the part in which you can find it used at a junkyard so you end up still paying most of the repair. Never had I been lied to in my face from the sales person and manager during the process. My sales person Antonio (Tony) also stopped answering my texts and phone calls when I needed him to follow-up on getting my license plates and registration which I started getting tickets for. It was the sleaziest process I have experienced and will never go back. 3.15.17 Update: I called them back after they commented on my review and said they wanted to "help". I was connected to a Manager there by the name of Steven. He said to gather all the invoices and documents for work done to my vehicle and he would try to get them reimbursed by Auto Source (the sleazy useless Warranty that AMG sold me) since they said they had a "good relationship" with them (probably theyre owned by the same sleazeball). After over 2 months of calling the office, emailing Steven directly and leaving countless messages for him he never once got back to me. I called the office multiple times per week. I cant explain the lack of professionalism from these people. I really hope you read this and it detours you from buying a vehicle there. Its not worth saving a few shillings when youll prob get a vehicle like mine that was bought at an auction and has a million things wrong and becomes a money pit. My vehicle to this day (6 months later) I am still finding things wrong and it is not running properly. I have no choice but to contact the Attorney General of New Jersey and Consumer Affairs. Thanks for nothing AMG Auto!

AMG Auto Staff On Friday August 18, 2017, I purchased my "Dream Car" in my dream color of Purple, from AMG Autos in Somerville, New Jersey. First, I would like to thank the receptionist (Tiffany), she was very professional and very helpful and right on point. "She said to me what kind of car are you looking for"? I told her the kind and the color with a sun roof, so she said, she would have a sales person call me back. A few minutes later, a salesman, by the name of Donavin called me and gave me some great news about the car I was inquiring about. Donavin said to me, that the car is beautiful and it is fully-loaded and you will love it, I said God is good, you just made my day. Ive been looking for this car for a month. I asked him if he could start the paper work over the phone. So Donavin informed his Manger (Boris) that I loved the car and I would be in tonight to buy the car. Donavin took the paper and the pen and ran with it and made everything happen in just a matter of hours. I spoke with (Boris) and I asked him some questions as well, and he was very helpful and professional also. These guys worked with me,even in the finance department no pressure at all and a great price too. I am very pleased with my CLA Class 250 Mercedes Benz, I will refer my family and friends here for the level of professionalism and courtesy I received. I came in with a 2006 Mercedes Benz C 280 and left with a 2014 Mercedes Benz. If you need of a Gorgeous Car, go to AMG Auto, and you will be very satisfied. My car is in excellent condition. I strongly recommend you ask for Donavin (Awesome Salesman) Thanks , Donavin for your great Customer Service and Professionalism... Fantastic Job !!!! Thanks again Happy and Satisfied Customer Ms. Purple CLA Class 250

I am a 100% disabled Vietnam veteran living in a homeless program and am very low on funds. I saw a 2005 maxima on line a AMG Auto went to see it drove it on 1/3/17. really liked the car and told the salesman I was coming in on 1/4/2017 to buy the car. I also spoke to the sales manager and told him the same...well, when asked to leave a deposit in a small amount I was told no but never went further or how much of a deposit was required...got a call this am or message that they had sold the car last night at around 9pm. They should have called me last night and I would have given them over the phone the 500 to hold the car for today. they never did that and what they did to a disabled homeless vet was deplorable. How can you treat a vet6 who defended his country was wounded and now disabled. I would not trust them as far as I could throw them. Make sure you get all the info before you waste your time going there. They are not what they seem. It seems funny that amg only writes a answer when they get a good review. never got a call back to try and right the way they treated me. We fought for our country, gave our all, and to be treated that way is not the American way nor is it fair to me and the other fellow vets of our country. The message I got that morning from the salesman said that he was calling from his private cell because their phones and computers were down. REALLY! This review is not the end, I will contact others about this: such as, the DAV, VFW ect. I pray that other Veterans dont fall prey to their to this kind of trickery.

If i could give them no stars i would. This was truly the worst experience Ive ever had. I made an appointment to test drive a car. I was on time and i had to wait 45 minutes for someone to help me. When I was finally able to test drive the car all 4 tires were bald driver seat was broken and it needed all need windshield wiper blades. Car was advertised with automatic start and automatic rear Gate lift but they could not provide the key fob for these items to be tested. I was extremely disappointed in the state of the vehicle. There assured me that everything else was in top shape and the would pass inspections after they made the above repairs. I took the car to my mechanic after those repairs were made and additinal 700.00 in where needed. I contact the dealership and they told me they already lost money on the vehicle and would not reimburse me for the repairs. They did however agree to replace the key which was missing. I had to call repeatedly and threaten tp return the car before they would schedule an appointment. I called the day before to confirm the appointment and some actually called to confirm as I was on my way since i live a hour and a half from their location which i confirmed i was on my way. When i arrived on time the service manger had no idea why i was there. I had to wait over 4 hours to get the keyd and no one seamed to care. I will never purchase anything from AMG Auto ever again.
