I RARELY write reviews, especially negative reviews. My experience today was terrible at the Staples in Shrewsbury, NJ. My visits are usually pretty normal and uneventful. However, today was different. Last week I was in the Middletown, NJ Staples store. I had order photos to be copied. Many of the copies had a streak in them so they refunded me and suggested another store. When I went into the Shrewsbury location today, I ordered the copies. I also handed in a coupon to get $10 off when you spend $30 or more. Since my copies come to around $19.00, I had to spend more money. I picked up a large box of copy paper. I looked online while in the store to ensure that I can get the best price. I showed the manager the price and she said that "Paper is the one thing we cant price match". Anyway, I brought the paper to the register. Now I was told I was still short. I found a pack of 3 glue sticks. Then they said I could not use the glue sticks since they were on sale and the coupon was for non sale items. I asked for a manager. She tried to blow me off, but finally came to the register, NOT looking like she was going to be helpful at all!! She told me there was nothing she could do. I put back the paper and glue sticks and did not use the coupon. So over a few dollars, they lost about $35.00 worth of business. It was silly season. Needless to say, my order (of 10 color photo copies) wont be ready until tomorrow. It is no wonder these stores are shutting down. Clearly they are not reading these reviews!! Time for a customer service overhaul!!

The manager was too busy playing on her phone to listen to her employee ask her a question, then she lied to her employee and to my face about not having any of the phone i was buying left in stock. when they had them on the counter to the left of me that the employee had pulled out to try to apply the discount i had. the employee turned beat red and told her the phones were right there, she stammered and ran to the back and didnt come out for the remaining half hour i was in the store.

Hit or miss. Half of their Copy & Print center staff are amazing, the other half have their head in the clouds. Copy & Print center usually has long waits.
