In short, love the store, dislike the employees. My first time coming in, I was shopping with my boyfriend for a mothers day gift for my mom and they asked me if I needed any help, and I declined because I already had an idea of what I wanted to get her because I looked at their website prior to going there, plus I enjoy browsing and swatching things as I see them rather than having assistance. Assuming that its because I declined, and I was swatching multiple things for future reference, the employees immediately assumed we were stealing things, and my boyfriend even overheard one of them saying that she thinks were shoplifting. They were constantly hovering over us and asking if we need help every two minutes, each time I declined. My boyfriend almost started rushing me to get out of there because they kept getting more and more suspicious as time went on, and it was making both of us uncomfortable, but especially him because I literally dragged him in there and he doesnt even like makeup. I get that its Ulta and they sell quite a bit of expensive stuff so they need to be careful with shoplifters, but I literally did the same thing there as I do when I go to Sephora, yet Sephora has yet to give me any problems. Judging by the other reviews, Im assuming this doesnt happen often so I have no idea what we did that made them think like this, plus I expected to feel a little more welcome there since I was a new face, but no, they automatically assumed that we had bad intentions. But whatever, guess Ill stick to shopping online lol

Ulta has a little bit of everything. They have low cost, drugstore brands as well as high end. They are a great go-to, not only for cosmetics, but everyday items like face wash and shampoo/conditioner. If you are a member of their rewards program, they send out coupons every few weeks. The Rockaway staff is friendly, but reserved. They tend to only offer help when asked. The salon here has great prices on some high end treatments, like facials. Salon staff are also friendly and a pleasure.

I love that they sell "high end" and "drugstore" brands all in one place. My only real issue with the place is most of the people who work there dont give you any attention unless you look like youre spending big bucks

Theres definitely everything in here! Im not sure how long ago they redid the place but it looks good and theres more brands in there now. Its usually stocked pretty well and Id neat and organized.

I get my hair done here, and it always is good quality. ULTA has a nice rewards program, too. Very clean and newly remodeled store.
