Terrible experience. I bought a car from him 3 months ago. He said that it was in perfect condition. He even showed us the paperwork from the auction stating that nothing was wrong with the car. We purchased a cheap warranty through Diamond warranty co. which he has brochures for in his office and he tried to talk us out of doing that stating that we would not need a warranty. He swore that the car was in great condition and even said that his assistant had the car out the weekend before with no problems. About a month later the check engine light came on. I took it back to him and told him that the light was on. He came out with the code reader and i thought that he was going to give me the fault codes. Instead he reset it. When i went to advanced auto to have the codes read once i left his lot they told me that since he erased the codes i would have to wait til the light came on again. It came on again and i had a friend check the codes for me and i got two error codes for lean in both banks. A few days ago (still under 3 month warranty) the car shut off on me. This is a BMW by the way. I had to have it towed home about 50 miles. Thank God my bf bought me AAA. I took it to a very reputable shop, because I cant just take my car anywhere and they ran a diagnostic and a smoke test and said i had 6 vacuum leaks and my car was showing about 5 error codes on different sensors. My estimate is currently $1800 and thats an open estimate. The car cost 6000, with the taxes it came to 7000 and now we are at 9000. MY boyfriend called him and asked him to take off 1000 because we have to pay 2000 in repairs and he said that we took it to the wrong shop and to take it to his mechanic (Lee) that hes been working with for 4 months who works out of a Getty gas station. I am not taking my car to just any shop or random guy that he has had a relationship with for 4 months. Its a BMW which means they need to know how to work on it and the shop that it is currently at offers a 3 year, 36k mileage warranty on all work that they do. This guy does not care. If you get a car from him and it works, good for you. You will have no problems. But if you leave his lot with a car that later gives you problems he will not care, nor help. He will beat around the bush. He has an excuse for everything. He will even go so far to ignore you. Yes this is a buy here pay here. So you get what you get. But his humanity is on 0. He recently had a stroke and is sick and its bad to say this but he got what he deserved. If this is your only option, get the highest level of warranty and even consider getting a separate warranty. My warranty isnt covering any of the repairs because we got too low of a plan and even when we tried to upgrade, Diamond warranty told us that the lot had to call to change it. Of course the lot owner (Joe) told us that he couldnt change it. He kept saying that 1k was too much to take off. But when we bought the car he swore up and down that nothing was wrong, nothing would go wrong and even showed us paperwork stating that the car checked out. Now I am at 1800 in estimates and that doesnt even address the no start problem from when the car cut off on me at 3am in another state or anything else they might find. Lastly, when my boyfriend called him saying we needed him to take some of the money off of the price, he asked him where the car was because he would just go get it and we can give it back. We made our $550 payment roughly two days before this happened. So him saying he is going to get the car because we can give it back is ridiculous. I am lawyered up because this guy is a scam artist. Check other places first. I had the option to buy a brand new 2016 Ford for the same 1k that i put down for this BMW but I decided that I didnt want to make payments for the next 10 years of my life. Because i have student loans the ford dealership automatically approved me through a special program. Go get yourself something new with a great warranty. Dont go here. (Theres other stuff but Im out of space)

After buying a $9000 car last year . I was able to pay off in 6 months. Joe (the owner) said how please he was although the car need $800 in repairs and the $400 discount he gave me for tires didnt really cover the expense of the tires I decided to back to him for a second vehicle. this one for my daughter. Purchased it with an engine light. He said he would take care of. Light went off after a week but it still needed a new ignition which was disclosed. He discounted me $200. I had an issue and was out of work for a month, Paid $600 for a new ignition and locksmith services. Today I was greeted by the repo guys. I wasnt to upset because being labor day I couldnt take the 2 month payment to him till tomorrow. I went down stairs with cash. I was told I needed to pay repo fees, late fees( which by the way , he never disclosed of) and tow truck fees although the tow truck was no where to be found. $1090 was the total payment due after I had $630 on me. I dont have to mention that this disrupted the rest of my accounts, transferring money. This SNAKE will talk to you like everything is fine. "im not gonna hassle you" " I m laid back" No late fees, just pay me in cash. I like cash , he says. He is a liar and a leach. The repo woman and man team which looks like they steped out of a lesbians prison days earlier will give you a tough attitude but then ask you to have a nice day. KISS ASS. I have paid over $10k to this guy and he treats me like a crook?? This is not the way you do business. Let me say I am not too upset that he has health issues at the time. Id like to add too those who think I am just upset at getting my vehicle possibly repossessed. I confronted Joe on his practice of 15% interest but then multiplying it. %15 per year. so a 3 year loan will end up costing you an extra 30% not %15 for the life of the finance. Buyer beware

Made the mistake of thinking we were being sold a decent used car. A lot of the previous reviews sound similar to what I would write - I took the truck to get an oil change and the mechanic basically called me and said "The whole front end is a mess, take the truck back." After confronting him on the issue, he assured us that the warranty would cover the repairs. I just got off the phone with the mechanic - none of the repairs are covered by the warranty and instead of having the headache of ending up with another lemon that might have even more issues, decided to just have the repairs done - especially considering that we already had a second key made, bought FOB remotes, headlights, etc... already invested in it. Wasnt expecting this many issues, especially coming from someone who claimed to have been on the Woodbridge Police force and also knew my grandfather - who was also on the force and he knew (or claimed he knew). I have to pick up my plates and registration from him at some point after the truck is repaired, you can bet my attitude when I go there will be less than happy. Especially not thrilled because he went on about how people who finance constantly dont make payments on time or hassle him to make their payments - we flat out paid for the truck in full the day we picked it out, which sounded like we were doing him a favor. If youre reading this review, or any of the others, be heavily advised not to buy your car from here, youll get jerked around.
