I figured Id spend my money at a small business instead of buying my shoes at Sears or JC Pennys like I usually do. I walked in and there were three salesmen. All standing talking to each other. I am looking round, I didnt expect immediate attention anyway. They all broke away, one guy left standing staring out the window. I walked over to him and said "Excuse me?" He jumped about 50 feet, and apologized. I figured it was a long day, no worries. I asked if he could help me find some shoes for working out. He said sure, what do you want. I said, eh, not sure, whatever. I thought hed bring me to the shoe wall to explain what shoes are best for what activity. He asked me what size, I said 11. He walked to the back. I went and sat down, he came out with very plain black sneakers and started to put them on me. I figured, you know, its for the gym, I am not there to impress anyone, and if they are low cost, then whatever, right? I put them on, said they feel fine. Asked how much, he said something like $80. I was pretty sticker shocked - $80 for ugly sneakers. Ok, I mean, they must be good for working out then. I should have said no. I should have gave them back and walked out. Thats my fault. I bought them - out of pressure, out of feeling fear of rejection for that terrible salesman. I went home, realized my stupid mistake and went back the next day to return them. No refunds store credit only. Are you kidding me? I didnt even wear them. It was less than 24 hours that they were in my possession. And I cant get my money back. The same sales guy was there, but this time I got the manager to help me. He was nice enough and picked out a good pair of shoes that are great for my routine. But still - never again. On the refund policy alone - forget the terrible first time service and prices.

I am a repeat customer at Globe and had a very positive experience there today. I needed to return a pair of shoes and had lost my receipt. I was able to get store credit and got shoes that will work with my orthotics. If you have special needs or sizing requirements this is the place to shop. The service is excellent and the staff is kind and patient.

In this store they are a bunch of idiots they sell shoes and dont tell people the policy they are suppose to tell you the policy I bought expensive shoes and they never told me the exchange policy and I went to return them they gave me in store credit instead of my money back dont buy from them they need to learn how to train there mangers

I have been taking my big dawgs to Globe for years. My dad introduced me to them. Every soul has good and bad in them but Im now age 50 and these ppl are so professional & polite I cant believe Im on Earth,lol..To bad that I need to travel from Irvington, NJ to Paramus but it is worth it. Nice prices,sizes,to bad they dont expand.

Great selection of women and men shoes from AA to EEE widths. They have specialty shoes for comfort and great shoes for diabetics (got shoes for my grandfather here years ago). Most of the sales men are extremely helpful and very easy to talk to. I have some great boots from here that have lasted over 10 years. Highly recommend.

Very rude talking in groups when you walk in I have been a A customer for about 12 years and the last few times Ive gon in my experience is youre more of a bother then a A customer Ive Gone the last time somewhere else I spent about $295 and Im gonna keep going to the other place very dissatisfied with Globe

I dont suggest buying shoes at this store. I just had a very bad experience. Bought a pair of dress shoes, and only wore for a couple of times. Obviously the shoes had qualify problem. I went back to the store, the managers attitude is really rude! No return, no exchange!!!

I was happy today because I have wide feet, and it is often hard for me to find shoes, and I left the store with two pairs of shoes! The salesperson was patient with me and took lots of time going to the back to find more shoes that might fit me.

Prices a little higher than some other places, but you get personalized service by knowledgeable salespeople who always manage to find the perfect pair of shoes for you. Much like Martys used to be.

Excellent, excellent service. I tried on 10 shoes with the help of a salesman in like ten minutes. You may not find the best deals here but the service makes up for it and then some.

They follow you around the store instead of asking us if you need help finding something. Stared at us the whole time. Very uncomfortable. Dont waste your time.
