I am never one to write reviews of this nature, but I just spent 20 minutes on hold with Petsmart and was continuously put on hold by three people in my attempt to make a grooming appointment. The fourth person I spoke to was finally able to assist and at that point I was very close to hanging up. When she answered, I expressed my unhappiness in the length of time I was on hold and by so many people. She did not even acknowledge it. She offered no apology or explanation. A simple- I am sorry, we are very busy today- would have been enough. Then when making the appointment her demeanor was cold and rude. You would think someone would go out of their way to make up for a negative experience. After I hung up I immediately called another grooming salon to see about making an appointment for my dog. Unfortunately, they did not have any appointments available or else I would have cancelled my Petsmart reservation. My other reason for not canceling was my fear of being on hold for another 20 minutes. I hope a manager or supervisor is available when I go tomorrow, because I would like my concern to be addressed and acknowledged. Any problems tomorrow and I will no longer bring my business to this store- which I happen to frequent often and spend a great deal of money at between food, toys, and grooming.

My dog got an awful haircut that is not remotely appropriate for his breed. My roommate brought him in and, being uncertain of what words to use to describe what he wanted, ended up asking for a full shave. Our dog, who has a double coat, was shaved almost completely bald. He has razor burn and bright pink skin now. I am terrified of all the sunburn he will be in danger of getting. Who shaves a dog bald in June? We are avid hikers and utilize hiking to reduce his anxiety. We will not be able to do any of our regular activities until his delicate skin is protected by fur again. These groomers are supposed to be helpful and they are supposed to do the right thing by the dog. Based on this experience, I do not believe they truly care about the animal, they care about the $135 they get when the service is complete. These groomers are either uneducated about how to groom different breeds or do not care about the welfare of the poor dog. This was a first and last experience.

I had a wonderful experience with petsmart in manalapan! I had talken my 10week old yorkie puppy to the petco across the street for his first grooming. 10 minutes after dropping him off I get a call from a perform groomer saying that my 10 week old puppy was being terrible and that I needed to pick him up and maybe think about taking him to a vet to get groomed so that they could sadate him. So I picked him up and he was half shaved! I was SO upset! I then called the petsmart and told the girl on the phone what had happened. She told me to come by and they would try. I went over and handed my pup over and stayed to watch threw the window and my pup was being so good! When he was done they called right away (not knowing I had been watch) and told me how great my pup did and what to do at home with him. And the best part is my pup seems to just love his groomer. I will always go to petsmart! All there staff is just great!!!

Wow, Francis! What an emotional response. Interesting. Heres the deal. I didnt "assume" anything. It was obvious to me (and the manager) that the dog was mistreated while groomed. Why would you comment on this review unless you had personal knowledge of the situation? I DO - and unless you were a Petsmart groomer who was there that day, DO NOT. Oh, and by the way, I dont own shih tzu or a french bichon. You are an idiot. My dog is a medium/large breed, so YOU are the one who assumes too much. Heres what I can tell you for sure. You have an anger management problem - seek help.

I have never been rejected from any petsmart for my maltese. I am ver dissatisfied that the customer service rather deny my son than to work. I used to go to the one in north brunswick and they never ever given me or my son an issue about his anxiety. They worked with us. Telling me that the vet can give my son something while they give him a haircut? Seriously. My son is very anxious with any activity. With a little patience, he becomes fine and calms down. Never will go into this store again

Honestly wish I could give this no stars. And I never write a review but this made me so mad. I went to the store to get some toys for my dog, while I was there I went to the groomers to get a price on nail trimming. The woman asked me what type of dog I had so I answered, she told me that she was terrified of my breed and wouldnt service my dog. Havent been in the store since, and will never go back. I would rather spend my money at petco where they dont discriminate any type of breed.

Review: Banfield Hospital. Dr. Huey, Dr. McAteer and staff are awesome. My dog Myles and I cant say enough good things about them. Highly knowledgeable and trained in their area of expertise. Being on the monthly maintenance plan we find the hospital very cost effective and manageable. Visit them without worry that your pet will be well taken care of. Myles cant bark enough about them.

web stated open 10 pm called store to confirm and was put on hold for 15 min then disconnected drove half hour out of my way arrived at 8:30 an it was closed. Needed special dog food before morning and was not able to get it. I would have put my energy into finding another place if web was correct or phone was answered but I wasted to much time on PetNotSoSmart.

I bought a teething toy that wad defective since it broke immediately. I brought it back and was told I should have been watching my puppy and she wouldnt take it back. I asked to speak to the manager and she said she was one. I tried many times to complain about this teething toy to their corporate office but no one cares.

jus wunted to "Paws" and take a mument to taque an eye-Q test for my lizard. All i can say is *sigh* Aint no Harvard redy fo dis chik! petsmart reelly is smart!!!! they desert a medul, end a sweetish fish metbal, and sum smarties!!1!1!1!11!!

Pretty good pet selections. We prefer it over Petco across the street. Staff is pretty knowledgeable only thing hampering it is the prices are a bit high

Dog service in back great and nice staff.great place to have your dog groomed or just to get dogs nails shaved or cut.
