So i will be as quick and to the point as possible. The staff at Motorcycle Center is very friendly and helpful when it comes to any questions or concerns one may have. But dont let that fool you into thinking they have your best interests in mind. They are typical mechanics and one may go as far to say they are thieves. I brought my R1 to be serviced because i was having issues with the RPMs. When i came initially i told the service clerk about the work i have done on the bike in the past few weeks (mostly Carb stuff)... (Cleaned the carbs, change float levels, changed fuel line, changed fuel pump and some other stuff) So the guy told me he would put it in for a diagnostic test and that it will be $79. I said fine because i was eager to ride. I came back exactly a week later and asked how the diagnostic test was going and he said to me "oh i think they just checked out your bike this morning" i said great and waited for the service rep to tell me what the diagnostics were. After waiting about 40 minutes the guy came to me and said in his own words "Your bike is gonna need a carb rebuild. There is gunk and grime all inside the carbs which is making the bike not work properly" I looked at him with such a confused face and thats when i realized he was trying to jip me. So i played along and said "Oh man, thats crazy... how much would that be?" he said "itll be around $400 for service and parts." I then said to him "Oh boy, and is that whats really wrong with it?" He proceeded to confirm it was a carb issue and that the carbs were dirty as hell. So then i said to him "Oh, well thats really weird cuz i cleaned out the carbs about two weeks ago and changed the float levels and they were working fine." He looked at me as if he just saw a ghost. He then studdard and said "Uhhhh errrmmm uhhhh well yea thats what the technician just told me, you need a carb rebuild but thats good cuz once its done itll be like having new carbs" So i then said to him "do you mind if i talk to the tech?" He said "yea sure just give me one minute" he ran to the back of the shop and a few minutes later invited me back there to talk to the guy who "looked at my bike"... So i proceeded to ask the tech a few questions... but the most important question i asked him was this... "So you turned the bike on and it began to leak gas? Did you open up the bike at all?" the tech proceeded to say "No i didnt open up the bike, once i saw the gas i new it was a carb issue" WTF???? So your telling me you can tell if i need a whole carb rebuild just because you see gas leaking from the side of the bike??? You must think im an idiot huh? So theres no chance that the fuel line was torn or something stupid? I automatically need a carb rebuild huh? yea right... so i said to the guys "Oh so you didnt open up the bike but the you (the guy i talked to first) said that the carbs were filled with gunk and grime?" How the hell did you know that without opening up the carbs?? at that moment i knew these guys were thieves and i needed to get out of there. Unfortunately i came alone in my car so i had to go home and pick up my girlfriend so she could drive me back to the shop. When i got back my bike was sitting on the side parking lot. They charged me $98 for the diagnostic fee including a *mechanics tools fee* which baffled me cuz supposedly all the guy did was use MY KEYS to turn on the bike... no other tools were needed apparently. I paid the fee and turned on my bike. The bike began to leak fuel on the left hand side under one of the fairings. It leaked fuel for about 15 seconds then stopped. (Its my belief that they placed fuel there somehow so that when the bike turned on it would drip a little bit) I finally got home with my bike and after a few days my father and i did some work on the bike (the gas leaking never became a problem once i left the store) What i initially went there for was to stabilize the RPMs because that was the ONLY problem i had. Till this day the bike hasnt leaked gas and my father fixed the RPM issue by adjusting the throttle cable. Theyre thieves

I would like to start off by saying the only reason I came here is because I have heard good things from a lot of people that arent even from that area so that says a lot. I live in staten island soo they are not "right around the corner", but this will not stop me from going back everytime I need something for my bike. The service was great! as soon as I walked in I was greeted by two very polite gentleman behind the counter. they insisted that if i need help or have any questions to not be hesitant to ask. another thing that blew my mind was the size of the store! from the outside it looks small but once you get inside it opens up to a huge display room with all sorts of custom bikes on display and all kinds of bikes for sale too! everywhere I looked was more and more accessories and gear! as I got to the back I noticed they also had a full service department and the labor rate was almost $20 dollars less per hour than most other shops ive dealt with! I spoke to the service manager about powdercoating the wheels on my bike and he assured that would be no problem, soo I brought my bike in 3 days later and had the job done. needless to say I came to pick my bike up and was extremely happy with their work! bike came out great and they even took the extra time to adjust my clutch and tire pressure and check my fluids at no extra cost!! very pleased with the experience and would highly recommend this shop to anyone near and far!

This place by far, is the best in NJ. Ive bought bikes from Rob, sold bikes to Rob, had all my bikes serviced here and the range is everything from a Honda Hurricane to a Harley Heritage. The service department kicks serious butt. Mike, Rob and Cody have done massive amounts of research for my upgrades and ALWAYS made the best recommendation. They even talked me out of something I wanted to modify because there was a better and cheaper solution. YOU GET WHAT YU PAY FOR - if you want cheap go to the cut rate, below quality discounter. You want the good stuff, you want the advice, you want expert service and expert advice - you go to the pros. The job is always done right the first time at a price WAY less than the dealer. I just bought a brand new Triumph T100 - They accepted delivery and gave the bike the once over. They even stored it for me until the nice weather get here. I needed riding gear - they got it and in the correct size. End of the day, my Hurricane SCREAMS, My HD is customized to perfection and all my bike are perfectly serviced. Think of it this way, I went into buy gloves and bought a Heritage Softail because a curiosity question was met with respect and fairness. Total class operation. BTW - to the prior reviewer who owns an autoparts store - Will you beat Jegs price on an Edlebrock top end by 25%? There goes that theory...
