Probably the best bookstore in the world, let alone Deptford Township, NJ City. You can basically find anything and everything here at excellent prices (new or used). Ive lived in NJ basically my entire life, but only started to come here around 2005. I can say it this much: I havent bought any book from another store ever since. And I buy so many books, I can fund a local library. The staff is tremendous, always willing to help out. Very knowledgeable too. They also have a great selection of Strand Books gear, and lots of NJ -related trinkets that can make excellent stocking stuffer. If youre ever in the area, you should check it out. Be forewarned: you will buy something here....and you wont regret it.

Do not purchase the membership they try to push. You will not get most of the benefits they claim. They claim members get free express shipping, however it is anything but express. They actually ship UPS ground and it takes 5-10 days. I asked how they consider that express, which most of the civilized world would define express as 1-3 days, but they could not give a reasonable explanation. You are better of getting your books on Amazon. I am also going to ask the NJ Attorney Generals office to investigate Barnes and Noble for fraud as they are not providing the service they advertise. Also looking into a class action lawsuit. So all of us who have been duped can be compensated.

I went here to look for numerous gifts and also for myself. Because I am a single male shopping alone 6 different security and staff members took turns standing over me and watching me and purposely blocking me from sections as I would try to work my down the isle. That isnt theft prevention that is harassment. I should be able to have the right to shop in peace with out this bs. Ive never stole a thing in my and I do not have criminal record there is no need for me to be treated this way. Needless to say I put every book back and bought nothing and left.

After going to Barnes and Noble Deptford, I will be exclusively using Amazon. The staff was rude to my autistic daughter and the staff in the childrens department knew nothing. When I asked for recommendations, she kept referring me to "My Little Pony" books for my 11 year old. High quality literature. The clerk was extremely rude, short and specifically rude to my autistic child. I will never shop this store again. They need diversity training as well as training on what is in their store. Thanks for sending me to Amazon exclusively.

I am very unhappy that the store will not match their online prices. Like many businesses, Barnes & Noble will go under if they do not accomodate the online customer. How can it be that they will turn down a sale because they are priced $12 higher in store than they are online for a single book. From now on I will make my book purchases solely online, which will eventually lead to the physical locations closing. Very unaccompdating.

I really like B&N but whenever I go there ( around 3 times a year) and ask for the location of a book or section because Im not familiar with the things in the bookstore, I always end up with a rude employee. Like yesterday, I went to get my copy of Silence by B.Fitzpatrick, I didnt know where it was because it recently came and I asked customer service for help but the female employee just rolled her eyes and sighed.

Typically good service but today had a horrible experience with the cashier. She was so rude, she was obviously annoyed with the fact she had to ring me up. It was horrible! You are getting paid to do a job, cashier is a customer service role, so do your job and service the customer with a smile! Overall nice store the other associates are helpful, enjoyed the Starbucks.

Im giving a 2 star review because one of the the most compelling reasons for my family to make Barnes and Noble our "date night" was their lego table and it has now been removed. Without that stimulation for the toddlers there is no way that hubby and I can take the time to make book purchases. It makes more sense to visit an online bookstore from this point forward.

Good selection of books and a very friendly, helpful staff. The only negative is that there is no accessible entrance, so Im not able to shop there unless I have someone with me to assist with the extremely heavy doors (theres no automatic door opener) - which is rare. Id be shopping there constantly if I could get in/out independently!

Great location. I havent been here in a while but the employees are always super nice and friendly. They have helped me find books in their store or at other stores really easily. The store itself is huge and has lots of places where you can relax and get into a book. The Starbucks is pretty good too. Great way to relax!

Pretty standard B&N. Fair selection of books, etc. Only rating a bit low because of a poor staff interaction. Asked for a little help locating a book of interest and caught some attitude from the clerk when she misunderstood what we were looking for and again with the same person during our checkout a bit later.

My favorite place to do some relaxing shopping. Grab a book and Starbucks Iced Tea (so delicious) and drift away into another world for a while! Bargain books are constantly being replenished and are great deals. Make sure you get a membership too... its absolutely worth the price if you love books!

If you love books, a traditional book seller is fun (even in this age of Amazon). The feel and look cant be beat for just browsing, enjoying a cup of coffee and looking for a bargain. Dont actually buy many books (Amazon IS cheaper), but the atmosphere is very relaxing.

good place to get books and magazines. I mostly come here to get my comic book volumes because specialty comic stores are too far away. This place is more on the expensive side though, and im not a big fan of starbucks weak coffee but thats just me.

Excellent Barnes & Noble store. Friendly helpful staff. Terrific selection of young adult books, gifts for readers, cook books, home office decor and needs, things for students, childrens games and books for kids. Easy and safe parking.

A great place! We went there looking for a book, & found so much more. Its a laid back atmosphere with plenty of room to browse. We ended up having there, & the choices were healthy & reasonably priced.

Do not go to this location. They start on females. They discriminate against women. I went there 3 different times and every time I was at a table I was told to move. Cherry Hill is way better.

Great book store with a Starbucks, which is a bonus! The down side...... the restrooms are ALWAYS disgusting! The team members need to do a better job at keeping up with this.
