I work fairly close by, and have visited this store 3 times in the past 60 days. Everytime I walk in, I am promptly greeted by at least one cashier. No matter what department I walk through, there seems to always be a representative available, yet they are not overbearing. It is refreshing to walk into a retail store of any sort and see so many smiling faces and interact with people that truly seem to enjoy their jobs. Kudos to the management for creating a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere, and special thanks to all the front-line employees for the wonderful experiences each and every time I visit! Special thank you to Tyler?/Travis? in the fishing deparment who assisted me on my last visit. (I believe that was his name - young gentleman from Yutan, NE). I have three kids and they are getting to the age where we need to move on from Crappie fishing, and they want to learn to bass fish. I know nothing about bass fishing, and he was kind enough to take a good 15-20 minutes out of his day to educate me on the different types of lures and equipment I would need as well as some good local lakes to try out. One of many great experiences at this store.

They have a large selection of products and the prices are not too out of line for what I expect. They have two things which keeps me coming back here instead of going to other sporting good chains: the service/knowledge of their salespeople and their selection of firearms. Okay, so guns may not be your thing, but they have a great selection of other items there and an eclectic mix of stuff. House-made taffy and fudge; fishing gear, camping equipment; clothing, accessories, shoes... Recently I was looking for an item and they had pretty much what I wanted new. There were some modifications I wanted to make and the saleman remembered that just what I wanted was in the store as a used item. He could have sold me the new item and (I dont know if they make a commission, but sure they do) I would not have been the wiser. Instead he took care of the customer and gave me exactly what I wanted for a lower price. That sort of service breeds loyalty.

Very nice people that work there. Might find me a hot date there since I cant find anything else. Anyone know if they sell any skydiving equipment? Im usually an avid fisherman but since my latest fall off the balcony I have taken up skydiving as my dominant sport of leisure. Cant believe its Memorial day weekend already. Why do we even have to work tomorrow? Both my mommy and poppy are off tomorrow. Whys T. J. Maxx gotta be the only Scrooge in town? Dont go to T. J. Maxx in Papillion tomorrow, their staff will not respond to any of your requests. Just a fair warning to all you imbasils with all that money in your pockets and still feel the need to rob a non profit organization like T. J. Maxx. You are stealing from handicapped children you idiots! No wonder everyones out buying guns, you people cant keep your hands off me, or my merchandise. Hope you all rot in hell. - Abyss

They quoted me a price on ammunition, I literally drove 15 miles when I get here they say sorry wrong price. Whats sad is I had planned to order a para warthog from them literally tomorrow. I have a policy I dont deal with people that waste my time over the last 5 years I have probably spent in excess of $10,000. I will no longer do business with them, I will form the members of my group and the Readers of my blog to avoid this place. What really angers me is when I spoke with the manager and he gave me a stupid look and said oops sorry, well so am I. I encourage everyone to look elsewhere theres too many other sporting good stores and I can assure you Cabelas would have made it right

On discussing a treadmill delivery problem after the Christmas snow storm in Omaha, I was impressed with the exceptional customer service provided by Asst Store manager Ann. After listening to my concerns, Ann personally managed an immediate solution that resulted in my tread mill arriving within a day. She was enthusiastic, while remaining objective and professional. Delivery was great, with Myles and Tyler negotiating a slippery driveway and providing expert advice on the operation and maintenance of a relatively complicated machine. After being a bit frustrated, I credit Ann and Scheels for looking hard at a customer concern and responding immediately. You can trust them.

First off the bad: Parking is next to impossible to find on the weekend & if its not on sale some of their stuff is overpriced. Their website is also very bad. Now the good: Great selection & great quality I always head straight to the 2nd floor. I really love how the guns are out & you can browse them all over on your own. I buy most all of my ammo here the selection is 2nd to none. Be sure to check out the clearance racks you can find some great deals. This is by far my choice in the Omaha area for sporting goods, so neat & organized & clean & friendly. No matter the sport or the season you can bet they carry it.

I really like the collegiate apparel selection here. I am also very happy with my four guns, as well as some accessories and maintenance items purchased at Scheels. The prices are mid-range and the purchase is quick and easy, compared to the nearly one hour wait just to look at a gun when your number is finally called at a local competitor (and being made to feel like you are taking up their precious time). I have encountered one or two gun salesmen here with holier-than-thou attitudes, but I simply waited to find someone else to help me, then made sure only they got credit for the sale. Quality service pays off.

Nice store. Make sure you price check everything you buy. Unless it is on sale, you can probably find a cheaper price on Amazon prime if you are a member. Scheels will not price match amazon prime. Best buy will, so for any electronics Scheels might have and when you need to have it right now, go to best buy (watches, gps devices). I recently priced a rifle. It was 200 dollars cheaper at a number of retail places in Lincoln and Fremont. I do like the store. You just have to watch their prices and be a smart shopper...which should be true for ANY retail outlet.

Unbeatable Customer Service - I had an item special ordered from another location to be delivered to the Omaha store. The Omaha Scheels was very helpful with my order. When I showed up to pick it up, there was about a 20 minute delay finding the item (not a big deal - it was simply misplaced in their back room). Scheels offered me a $25 gift card for my wait and said if the wait was any longer they would just deliver it to my home the next day. Going above and beyond to help the customer. Thanks!

I cant tell what this place is, it seems like you guys are trying to be too different from the other big outdoor stores. You dont have a fish tank, youre way out west, theres always two prices on everything, you dont have a fancy restaurant where I can try moose for the first time, and I dont get the sports memorabilia part. If I want a new hat Ill go to the mall duh! What the hell kind of store are you? You really lose out by not having a fish tank, every kid loves a fish tank.
