They sent me the wrong random suit jacket and refused to work to fix the problem. I needed to have it for a business conference and they would not work with me. Further, they left me in a black hole on hold for 45 minutes. I spoke with a total of four people and three of them were appalling in terms of their training, willingness to solve problems and one even refused to give me her employee number. After giving up on the 45 minute hold I called back and insisted to speak with a supervisor. Steve #6819 is the supervisor at the Columbus, Ohio call center and he is a true professional. I informed him at the star of the call that I was upset and he very calmly and coolly assured me he would take care of my problem. He handled this challenge that others refused to like a boss! I went from very upset to very appreciative. This man is a huge asset to his company and a credit to himself. Steve: 5 stars 3 others: minus 2 stars Three stars is the best I can offer given the fact that despite having one hero, JC Penny is woefully lacking in their training and policies.

Came in at 7:30 p.m. to look at the jewelry, and the manager, Janet (who was extremely rude) came over to my wife and I to tell us that she could not help us because theyre closing down in a half an hour. She turned her back on us and deliberately turned the lights out over the jewelry counter. When I tried to politely talk to her she rudely spoke over myself and my wife. Clearly Janet was eager to get home and did not want to help us nor anyone else JCPenneys not only lost several hundred dollars in a possible sale but they also lost a long time customer. The worst part of it all is that she was the store manager and should be setting an example for those underneath her. Extremely poor customer service. Its no wonder theyre closing the store down soon. Ill keep shopping at Amazon.

This store is slated for closure soon; therefore, it is quickly becoming a repository of other Penney stores unsold merchandise. The advertised discounts and bonuses seem attractive; however, it is difficult to discern the real value of items being offered here.
