Ive been to many Wal-Marts across the country in my years, from super/deluxe ones in vacation towns to outdated ones in farming towns...THIS Wal-Mart is absolutely the worst out of all of them. Where to start...I believe this location is the closest/accessible 24-hour one to downtown, so that makes this location LOADED at nighttime. Adding to the problem is that they tend to only have two-three lanes open, often operated by the most decrepit cashiers who work incredibly slowly, causing HUGE lines. Or if its not the cashiers, its the customers who are holding up the line by arguing that something rang up 50 cents more than the shelf price. Speaking of which, the customers shopping here tend to be incredibly seedy. The store itself looks trashy and outdated, despite the fresh coat of paint on it. Its painfully obvious that this Wal-Mart has outgrown its britches and they need a bigger location, but I assume they have little place to move to. (I heard a rumor they were trying to purchase the land of a nearby trailer park across the highway to build a Super WalMart- like what Lowes did with a neighboring one - but I guess that never panned out.) So they try and shoehorn modern Wal-Mart offerings like a supermarket and expanded electronics section, but the groceries section is pathetically small (shoved in the back of the store) and little point in shopping there when a big Schnucks is almost next door. Honestly, do yourself a favor and move on to Target in Cave Springs. Or if its after hours, spend the extra time and either head to the South 94 or OFallon Wal-Marts. They are far better, bigger and youll get in and out of there sooner than trying to wait the lines at the St. Charles location (driving time included).

Hates WAL*MART. HATES, HATES, HATES. HATES. HATES. HATES. The prices are NOT cheaper. WAL*MART has been careful to sell product in smaller sizes, runs out of the less expensive gallon of 1% Milk so you have to buy the so-called full price. (Same milk from the same dairy plant!) They have NO hand-baskets you can carry. I always ask in the few times I can tolerate WAL*STREET*MART. The greeters of cashiers or customer service associates all say the same thing: They have no hand-carry baskets, use a cart. You can find food cheaper at Aldi & Schnucks and Dierbergs (just dont go to the fancy Schnucks and Dierbergs to pay less). Yes, you can bring all them spare used WAL*MART bags to ALDI so you wont pay to buy a bag at checkout. Booze? Go to Dirt Cheap! or Total Wine. I finally post a review as AGAIN, we do NOT have the hand-carry baskets. HATES WAL*MART. One nice customer service associate did say shes noticed the hand-carry baskets have been disappearing for like the last year. And the primary store manager knows about the problem. (She said other WAL*MART employees have informed management repeated. Yet WAL*MART store managers do make commission and bonus the more crap you sell. The employees dont, of course.) HATES WAL*MART! Though I have to say, the obliviousness of the customers. One winder is we reside in a right or left hand drive nation. With wide aisles, the entire aisle is blocked by a customer and the wheeled basket cart theyre using. Like everyone in St. Louis is hopped up on the serotonin re-uptake inhibitors, or George Orwells soma from his book 1984.

some of the employees are horribly rude. I went to get some ice coffee among other things. I couldnt find the ice coffee I normally get so I asked a stock guy to help me. he got huffy and puffy right from the start. he then went and opened one of the cooler doors and just started yelling at the top of his lungs for the guy in the back. when that guy came out he said "what do you want I have stuff to do" I looked past the rudeness of this guessing maybe he had worked all night and told him what I was looking for. he looked down at his PDA, didnt type anything in, looked up and said "yeah its out of stock, holiday thing" (its not a holiday thing I have been getting the same iced coffee for almost two years) then walked away. well a couple of days later my husband needed something and normally I would just go to target but it was late so I just ran back to this Walmart and made a detour to the coffee and what did I see? the coffee I was looking for a few days before. as I reached for the coffee that same guy with the PDA was stocking it. he just stared at me and said " well look what you found". now maybe its just the over night staff that are rude because I have had some very pleasant encounters with the cashiers and even some of the other employees. the ladys working in the kids area are very helpful and nice.

i have lived around this walmart and have gone to all the ones around the near areas, (within 50 miles) and this is by far the worst walmart to shop at. The only thing that is good about this walmart is that it is next to SAMS CLUB. The staff is very rude for the most part, the store is so dirty its crazy they are alowed to stay open because anyone i hear talk about this walmart never has anything good to say about them. If you call them its a good chance you will be waiting for a good 10 minutes and chances are whoever answers the phone most likely wont know very much if anything about the product you have a question about. I personally spoke to a manager and several staff over the same product all who informed me of not knowing or ever hearing of the product and when i went to walmart the next day (just to prove my theory) and found the product by myself and chose not to buy it because i refuse to ever give this walmart my business again. Even though it all goes to the same place, its the principle and the fact is, this is THE WORST SERVICING WALMART....EVER!

Normally my experiences here are excellent but tonight was just terrible. Everything was going fine until it was time to check out. I proceeded to register 7 and patiently waited in line for my turn. The cashier seemed very nice and friendly towards the people in front of me but when it was my turn her mood instantly changed. Maybe it was because I was black because towards all the other white customers she seemed perfectly normal or maybe shes just dumb, who knows? Anywho She told me my amount that was due and I gave her the dollar amount and tried to give her change. So she wouldnt have to worry about counting out coins. She then ignored me so I repeated my self and she told me shes not going to do it because she already clicked a button so I tried to brush it off , but as she handed me my change back she dropped it on the floor on purpose and said "sorry you dropped that" in a sarcastic manner. Her name was Hallie and I let her manager know and I will be checking to make sure you guys did something about her behavior.

The worst Wal-Mart ever. I went this a.m. to get a game and the electronic guy sat behind the counter for 7min 23 sec(I timed him after walking away the first time) talking with his friend who is also an employee talking about which smartphone had the best camera. The htc one m8 or the galaxy s5???? I was standing right beside them as they continued to talk. Idiots...He then proceeded to look the game up in the system and said they had it in stock and he doesnt know where they would be. He then checks in the back. The game came out yesterday and should have been on the shelves. Its MLB the Show 14. After 10 min he comes back and unlocks some cabinets behind the cash register and continues to look. He then looks at his device and says they sold out. Keep in mind he told me 10 mins ago they had it in stock. I Just dont think he could find it and he got tired of looking for it. Ive had so many bad experiences here that I usually just go 10 min out the way to the 94 location.
