I came in for my piece in November. I had been calling around to other shops in town and Hearts of Fire was the first one to actually ask about what work I wanted done over the phone. Everyone else just asked me to come into the shop. I was a first timer, so I took my design in and spoke with Jake, who ended up doing my tattoo, and he discussed any problem I might face with my design being as small as it was and my choice of color. I loved the design and his suggestions were helpful and honest. When I actually had my work done, Jake was very professional and patient with me. He even redesigned the font I was using so that it would look more Celtic. He continually checked on my comfort through the entire process and was very informative about the aftercare. These guys were most certainly worth coming to. I am certainly going back for any future work.

I have heard good things about Hearts of Fire, and I really wanted to get some work done here. However, the customer service is wanting (and that seems to be the aspect giving the shop poor ratings). I stopped in to the shop because their Facebook page indicated they had openings that day. When I got there the guy laughed at the idea that I could walk-in to Hearts of Fire, and then proceeded to give me the list of hoops I needed to jump through to be one its customers. It put a bad taste in my mouth. The shop may do good work, but if thats how they treat potential clients...I havent decided if I will go back.

A friend recommended I go to Jamison for a coverup. I met with him. He didnt seem very pleasant but said hed have something drawn up by that Friday. I never heard back from him. It has been about 3 weeks now. I dont know if he couldnt come up with anything or just wasnt interested...Im not sure how he picks and chooses his clients but its his loss. I ended up going to Transformation Ink. Much kinder attitudes, cleaner shop, and actually left with a tattoo that I LOVE!

These guys have the cleanest and nicest tattoo shop in the region. Theyve recently gone through a remodel that makes the place look even more amazing. My artist is Ethen, who is extremely talented. Jameson is also a great artist. If youre going to get a tattoo, and youre within 2 hours of this shop, you need to go there as the work is top-notch.

My first Tattoo. The guys in the shop made me feel comfortable. Jamison was the artist. High quality work and he knows his stuff. He talked though every detail of the process which showed his knowledge of the process and his passion for the art. To these guys isnt not only about the business but about the experience for both them and you!

Awesome artists and friendly staff. Ethen and Jake are the best artists in Springfield. As an added bonus, the people at Hearts of Fire make you feel like youre actually welcome and they are aware that you exist as more than an ATM, unlike most tattoo shops Ive been to.

Ive had several Tattoos done in the area these guys are definitley the best , clean, friendly and organized. Had work done by Ethan, it was top notch not free, but very reasonably priced worth every penny. They take pride in their work and their shop and it shows!

Really good bunch of guys. Jake did my tat. Told him what I wanted and he came up with a design exactly what I was looking for. Left it all to him to decide colors. This guy has great artistic insight, and talent. Very reasonable rates also.

One word, amazing! Im extremely happy with the whole tattoo experience! I got my first tattoo by Jake and am very pleased. I will be returning to shop for more work in the future! I would recommend Hearts of Fire to anyone.

Sarah did my first tattoo here 3 years ago. Granted, she is no longer here but this is still a very cool place. The atmosphere is great, the location is great, the people are friendly and its very clean !
