Note: This review use to be 5 stars Got my first tattoo by Robbie Lopez, along with my second and third. The third was the largest. It has been 1.5 years later at this point, and I am still waiting for him to finish it. I have have 6+ appointments that he has canceled. 3 of which I spent 2 hours waiting in his lobby just to have him tell me to go home. Every time I contacted him since, asking him when he can finish it, he says soon. The last time I talked to him, we got into an argument about him not finishing it. I brought up him canceling my appointments, and he did not care. Then months later he has the audacity to text me asking me if I want to get it finished, and I reply that I did not have the money anymore, and if he had made the appointment when I wanted it, not when he wanted it, he would have gotten his money. I am very dissatisfied with my third tattoo. There are a lot of visual mistakes, that were not on the original drawing. Now I am looking for another artist to fix and finish his last piece, and someone to take my business permanently. I could have dealt with the mistakes, and him fixing them, if he wasnt so flakey and mean about missing my appointments. I will never go to him again, even for my touch ups. I am sure I can find a local KC artist who will be willing to fix and touch up all the work he has done. He is not getting a penny more from me.

If I could give zero stars I would. Not only was I stood up for my appointment not once but twice, the quality of work has plummeted significantly. My first piece by Robbie was quality work and I love it. However the two to follow were subpar. Off center placement and shakey line work is just the beginning. I have a moth that should be almost if not totally symmetrical smack dab on the middle of my throats that is completely asymmetrical as if it were two desperate moths smashed into one. I drove from Olathe Kansas to 61st and Troost to be stood up. No one at the shop. No message. No phone call. Please do not waste your time. There are plenty of quality tattoo artist in Kansas City who will not only respect your time but also respect the skin they are making a mark on that will last your lifetime.

Got a horrible tattoo done here by someone im thinking was maybe an apprentice or maybe just some random off the street! My sister and I went to get tattoos done, we read the reviews for Rose Tattoo, they we good overall, but when we got there the guy was rude and seemed annoyed b/c HE couldnt understand what I wanted. He finally put the stencil on, I still wasnt impressed, but he said he could free hand the changes I wanted. Needless to say bad idea! Im in the process of trying to find someone who can/will fix it, but no one wants to touch it! Not sure if the other artists at Rose are good, but MY experience with, I think his name was Josh (could be way off), was terrible.

I got a simple Hebrew script tattoo in color on my wrist. I LOVED LOVED LOVED my experience at Rose Tattoo. KATIE was SOOOO great to work with. She was super patient when I was still trying to figure out what I wanted it to look like; color or size or orientation, etc. And since I went on a Sunday, it was nice and quiet. We were the only ones in the shop. She was going to start a new $50 Sunday script discount and let me get in on it early. This is only my second tattoo, but I cant imagine going anywhere else, if I were to get more. Oh and Katie was really great about talking to me and washing her hands often.

This is one of the best shops around, anything that you can imagine in your head they can put on paper. Very professional and nice people. When you go in you feel more like friends and family rather than just another customer. Ive spent well over $2,000 in this shop and I go to them when ever Im feeling the tattoo bug biting. Cant say enough good things about them and I recommend any one to this shop.

Someone referred me to Robbie a few years ago and now I dont think Id go anywhere else. He has done my last couple of tattoos and does excellent work. They were custom drawings that he was willing to work with and also had great prices. Robbie and his staff are all genuinely nice peeps and great to deal with. Now I just need to save up for my next one!

That the old shop new shop is a hole in a wall besides how u gonna post pictures of ur shop withsome.else bike in front to make ur store look good and u was in easy easy rider and other tattoo magazine u think u could afford a nicer shop and ur own bike to showcase keeping it.real just man

My son and I walked in without an appointment and each had a tattoo done by Katie. We were beyond satisifed with the results and highly recommend her. The staff was very friendly and the prices couldnt be beat. We will definitely visit Rose Tattoo & Katie again.

First tattoo and I cant say enough about Lopez! The work he did was freaking SICK!!!!!! He is a way cool cat and is pretty dope to talk to. Five hours the first sitting and 3 the next = wicked good final product! I will NEVER go anywhere else!!

Trying to set up an appointment for a tattoo shouldnt take weeks, nor months.. Had work done in the past, but their Quality of Service has greatly diminished. Very unprofessional, I took my money elsewhere.

these guys are all excellent artists and really nice. they dont give you lots of attitude and they work with you to make sure you get a good tattoo! mine healed fast and the color looks super bright!
