I have well over 20 tattoos, most done in the east texas area, some up north as I now live in Michigan. I have NEVER had a better experience at any other shop than the one I had a Red Rooster Tattoo. Tyler, the shop owner, was most certainly the nicest male tattoo artist I have ever come across. That may be a weird statement but I definitely have been negatively stereotyped by males in the industry, and in that area for that matter, as some weak little girl who wont be able to handle a big bad tattoo or as some hussy getting tattoos to be sexy and not as an expression of my interests and emotions. In no way was I made to feel anything other than welcome and comfortable in this shop. My artist, Cora, was FANTASTIC! She listened to my ideas and inspirations openly. Then she created a custom design that was everything I had hoped and more. You can definitely tell she is an artist with taste, from her understanding of complementary colors to proportion, size, and placement. It is safe to say, the tattoo I recieved from her is by far my favorite to date. She also used lavender soap during the process which was relaxing and a nice change from the chemical smells I associate with tattoo shops. (I do love that tattoo shop smell but lavender trumps.) I also noticed recently from Coras instagram that they are putting together take home after care kits. Who does that?! That is amazing! Im usually just given a piece of paper and a "good luck". Anyways, my tattoo healed up quickly and beautifully and I get compliments on it constantly. All in all it was a great experience and I cant wait to go back. Not only to get a tattoo, but to shop for art and peruse the oddities Tyler and Cora have created and curated. Seriously, even if tattoos arent your thing, they still have something interesting for you.. I will literally be flying to Texas soon just to go here again.

I shopped around Longview and decided that Red Rooster and Tyler was the best choice to do my tattoo. I am a leukemia patient in full remission and i wanted an orange ribbon with the word survivor on or near it. Tyler didnt disappoint. His artistry is amazing and he did a fantastic job. This tattoo is by far my favorite of the four i have. I earned this tattoo in more ways than one. Of course, Tyler and Cora are two awesome people themselves and make you feel comfortable and relaxed for your experience. Everyone in the shop was cutting up and having a great time. Speaking of the shop, it is immaculate. Everything is so clean and tidy. Not a bunch of trash everywhere, like in other shops. I highly recommend you go check them out and see for yourself. While youre there, be sure to say hi to their bearded dragon, Carlito.

I had an amazing experience here, the shop is clean and comfortable, and everyone who worked there that I interacted with was very kind. I got a tattoo done by Cora and not only is she super sweet and very fun to talk to, but she is a seriously amazing artist! I loved being able to look at all the art she had done and put up on the walls, and am very proud to have a piece done by her. She was very accommodating and patient, making sure I was 100% happy with the design and placement, which took a lot of stress off of me. I definitely want to go back and get more!

Red Rooster Tattoo is by far the best shop in Longview. The artist are very creative & are willing to spend time with you to answer your questions and concerns. I wanted to find the cleanest & most professional shop around & I was very satisfied with Red Rooster tattoo. Best tattoo shop weve been to by far! You walk in and there are couches and snacks to keep you comfortable while waiting and the artist are super respectful and kind! They truly care about the quality of their work and dont mind redoing their sketches it over and over as long as youre happy with the end result! The place is super clean, so no worries on that end either! I highly recommend the Red Rooster Tattoo parlor for your next tattoo!!

Tyler did my first tattoo a few months ago. Cora did my second today. I had good experiences with both artists. They both were very friendly and professional. Their shop is super clean. I am very happy with the results of their work. I would recommend this place to anyone and I intend to return, should I ever get another tattoo.
