I would have never came across this awesome shop if it wasnt for my boss. He has gotten multiple tattoos from Mikey Wheeler, a very nice chill, laid back talented dude. My boss and I delived Mikey his car after we did some work to it and I got meet Mikey and visit the shop. The shop itself is like walking into an art museum. There are countless beautiful tattoo designs and drawings covering 80% of the shop. The other 20% is decorated with an array of eye catching nick nacks and bookshelves. The shelves are stocked with books of tattoos to books on Picasso and traditional Chinese artwork. Ive been to this place 4xs and my eyes always wander around like Im walking in an eye spy book. Everyone that works there are extremely friendly and knowledgable. I knew this was the perfect place to get my first tattoo. It took awhile to get an appointment with Mikey but, it was well worth the wait. He was very friendly and easy to talk to through the 2 hours I was there. He did an amazing job on my tattoo. It came out WAAAY better than I expected! Im glad I came across Mikey and this badass shop while I was working. If I didnt I would still be searching for the right tattoo shop. I will defenantly go back for more artwork!

I went into the Mercy Seat with the intent of checking it out and scheduling an appointment and was immediately seen to. I explained what I wanted and was referred to Dana, and she was very helpful and responsive in designing the tattoo that I wanted, one that Ive had an idea of for years. I ended up getting the tattoo that evening. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful, and for this being my first tattoo, the experience was great. I love the tattoo I got; its exactly what I wanted, and I do intend to return here for future tattoos.

We went in there very excited about getting tattoos and for the most part, @ first it was ok, then the female tattoo artist came out with the worst attitude, and their was no way I was sitting in a room for several hours with something so important. Their pricing was much higher than a few other places we went to after, that were much more friendly. A few days later I told a friend about the experience, whos had a tattoo there, and she agreed.

Wesley at the Mercy Seat did my first two tattoos and is the coolest guy on the planet. Hes super easy to talk to, makes the experience as painless and quick as possible (without sacrificing even an ounce of quality), and is a creative genius who will transform your design into a true masterpiece! All of the artists at Mercy Seat are nice, and the shop is super interesting and very clean. Ill never go anywhere else if I can help it!!

If you plan on getting a tattoo and you live in Kansas City or any surrounding suburbs I highly recommend going to Mercy Seat. The staff was friendly and the environment was great. I got my first tattoo on the 18th and Dana was amazing. I plan on going back to her for my next 6 that I have planned. Pricing was fair if not lower then the competition around. This place is the best. Go to Mercy Seat in Kansas City.

I got a tattoo from Megan Mac about two weeks ago, it was my first time getting a tattoo so I was a little nervous and unsure about the whole situation. Megan worked with me on my tattoo design and made it even cooler than I was originally thinking, she was awesome and did a great job. If its your first time or hundredth time, I would highly suggest the mercy seat and especially Megan Mac!!!

I contacted Megan Mac for a low back coverup and she took a few designs I liked and drew up a tattoo that was more beautiful than I ever expected. When it came time for the tattoo she explained everything, worked quickly, and talked to me to keep my mind off the process. Shes reasonably priced, extremely talented, and great to work with. Ill definitely schedule with her again soon.

Had my first session out of (n+1) recently. Super cool building and atmosphere with no shortage of things to look at while getting tattooed. Everything was clean and felt like home in no time. Scott is awesome to work with and managed to capture exactly what I wanted out of my somewhat vague and disjointed descriptions. Highly recommended.

I called simply for a job ( being covered in ink and my personality I think Im pretty qualified ha) the gentleman that answered was awesome! Very polite n chill , even though he didnt need help he made me want to go there to get more ink! More tattoo shops should be this cool and realize that brings in customers and keeps em! BABYGIRL.

Had some work done by Megan Mac, fixing a poorly done/healed tattoo and adding to it. She was fun to talk to, kind, and most of all, got my vision on paper and then onto my arm and Im so proud of it! I get compliments almost every time I go out. Clean shop, nice artists, great work.

I love love love the Mercy Seat Tattoo. I shopped around for a while to see if anywhere else compared, but they dont. I will always get all my work done there and also refer all of my friends there. Any time someone asks, I dont hesitate to tell them to go to the Mercy Seat!!!

My friend and I ended up not getting our tattoos here, when we walked in the guy behind the counter was very rude. He was short with us and seemed upset that we had interrupted his meal, and was supremely unhelpful when we asked to set up an appointment.

I came into mercy seat for my first tattoo and talked to jason about what I wanted. He was honest and told me he didnt do that style of tattoos so he refered me to Bill. Bill did an absolutely phenomenal job!...crushed it. A+ to mercy seat!

Dana Atwood is amazing!!! I have personally been working with her since 2008. The other artists at the shop are all awesome and I always feel welcome. Will not go anywhere else!!
