I def love the Friar Tuck stores but the website could use a little work. Here is my reccomendation: Homebrew stores and very hard to find in the St Louis area...which is odd due to the large amount of micro breweries and the growing amount of home brewers...which puts your chain of stores above many other liqour stores. Why not put some of your homebrew porducts on your website? You may not have to ship them but put some of your extract kits on the site so people know what you have in stock. Some people may just be looking for a couple rare bottles of brew and stumble upon you home brew section and think to themselves, huh, that sounds like fun, why not give that a try. Pick up a six pack of some craft beer and maybe grab a beer kit. Home brewing is increasing in popularity and I think you need to market that on your website. You will bring in a whole new wave of customers that never knew you had the kits. I hope you take this information and apply to your website because it would be nice to see what kind of kits you have in store. Thanks Jonny

My fiancee and I love the Fenton Friar Tucks. I am really surprised to hear that people have had visits where they werent pleased. We go in and ask questions all the time and get great help (we love to try recipes we find online and sometimes there are ingredients we are unfamiliar with). The selection is huge and we love the mix a six. It gives us a chance to try a lot of unique beers. Hopefully people arent put off by some of these reviews, because it really is a place worth checking out. As far as people being upset with being carded, I think the law is that you have to card someone if they look under 40, so you cant really fault them for that.

I was not impressed with the Fenton location. I went there to purchase ingredients for my brewers best hom brew kit. I drove 20 minutes and when I got there I found huge empty shelves with spaces and prices for beer ingredients kits, but only 3 actual kits. There was a stout, milk stout, and English bitter kit. I wouldn;t complain if they even had half the kits they had spaces for, but it seems like poor management to let your stock run that low. That said I have been to the Webster location and it was great. I guess next time I will go to the Webster location or St louis wine and beer making.

I went in looking for a German Riesling I found at the St. Charles store. The first person I asked for help gave me nothing but impatient grunts. She told me to talk to someone up front after I wouldnt accept her answer that all the Rieslings were "two rows over in blue bottles." Up front was not much better. His disdain at being asked a simple question was abundantly clear, to the point of giving eye rolls when asked to check the computer. I had a pleasant experience at the St. Charles store; I won’t set foot in the Fenton store again.

Visited this store with only 3 other customers in the entire place. Went to check out and I was "helped" by a guy named Michael. He texted the entire time I asked for suggestions with alcohol, and when I was done and billed out, I asked another question and he says with phone still in hand, "Im sorry, unless you are ringing out with something I have to get back to work." (Wait, isnt that working?) If you want 1/5 star service at a place that just wants your money, with people who cant care less, Youve Found It!

I was in looking for Indian beers and they had a few. Good selection and okay prices on most items. I have found the service to be erratic...sometimes a clerk will show me where the product is and other times they wave in a direction and say "its down there on the right." Signage helps, but more human interaction would not hurt---otherwise would have given them 4 stars.

Very expensive and no discount aisle. They are pleased to leave season ales sit on the regular shelf for many months. Go to the Friar Tucks at 9053 Watson Rd, St. Louis, MO 63126 for better prices and a discount section for beer, cider, and wine. The best liquor store in St. Louis region? Lukas Liquors on Manchester in Ellisville. And they have a huge discount aisle.

I went into this store with my little brother who is 8 and they wouldnt sell me alcohol. They said they couldnt even let me buy it if he waited in the car. I was picking him up from school and already rushed for time before a graduation party. It was pathetic and I will never go back again.

Im 35 and they refused to sell me two bottles of wine until my brother (whom I just picked up from the airport) went back out to the car so he could show them his ID. And hes 42! Great selection, but HORRIBLE service and completely useless when it comes to knowledge on spirits.

They have a great selection, and average prices, but the manager in the Fenton store isnt very friendly or helpful. Strange because I was buying a $30 glass carboy and the manager could hardly take the time to help me with a couple questions I had.

I have went to the fenton store several times and found everything I was looking for. They have very reasonable prices on wine and beer. I asked for some help with hard cider products and they made some excellent suggestions.

Great selection of wine and beer. Ok selection of cigars but the four that I purchased were dry and all flaked, so the humidor is either not set correctly or not properly maintained. They also do not have accessories.

Great selection of beers, I especially like the create your own pack area. My only complaint is the last 2 times Ive gone here its been really warm and muggy inside. I think they are against air conditioning.

Love it. The perfect place to be in the unlikely event of a zombie apocalypse. The staff is always friendly and helpful to get you to the isle youre looking for. Very well stocked.... VERY. Well. Stocked.

This is always fun! We love being able to go on Saturdays and try new items before we buy them. It really encourages us to branch out and try new things.
