This shop had some fine people working there. Jason, Nate and Joe are all fantastic people who truly care about their customers and the products they sell. However the owners of this place are selfish, greedy people who are completely out of touch with the hobbies and the clientele that indulges those hobbies. They make decisions that ruin the atmosphere of the store, which is the only reason that people go in a world where we can get everything cheaper on Amazon and with apps. They take advantage of their employees, underpaying them and overworking them. They fire people with no warning or reason, other than they dont like them, and then wonder why their sales continue to decline. They abuse any trust placed in them by anyone who associates with them.

The Fantasy Shop in North County is a fantastic establishment for anyone seeking a haven for all things nerd. The staff led by John Perks is absolutely incredible, they are friendly knowledgeable and always willing to have a fun conversation. The store has an ever changing product display that shows what is new in the store this week and is really helpful if you are looking for something different. The selection of board games as well as Table Top RPGs is fantastic and the stores regular Friday Night Magic and Saturday Afternoon Magic events are filled with friendly fun individuals who are always inviting toward new players.

Ive been shopping at the fantasy shop for over 10 years now. The chain is a great company, and the Florissant store in particular is staffed with knowledgeable and friendly people. If they dont have the product youre looking for, they attempt to order it that day, and if they cant order it due to discontinuation, they usually can recommend a few reputable sites to order from. The store specializes in comics, board games, miniature games, and role playing games. Their prices are reasonable, and they often have special events to get better deals, or meet new people interested in the same pass-times.

I used to love shopping and hanging out here but over the past year when the owner Dave Wallace came back it has been horrible. He doesnt care about his employees there for the morale of all the stores are down. He also doesnt care about his old customer base in Florissant that got him to where he is. He only wants to focus on a new customer base. I cant stand to see good people get treated the way he treats people. I will never shop there again and I will make sure everyone knows this.

I wont be shopping here anymore nor any of my friends since the staff decided to tell me I cant carry a firearm on the property even though there are no signs stating said "company policy" even though I am well within my right according to Missouri state law. The definition of hypocrisy selling a bunch of comic books that have weapons and guns but not allowing a legal citizen to carry a legal firearm on the premises while shopping.

They have a large selection of comics and games, and some really nice static display models of fantasy heros. I bought Leonardo from the Ninja Turtles and Hawk Girl from DC comics, and couldnt be happier. They are my beauty and the beast. The details, colors, action poses ... are a delight to the eyes. It will be hard for anyone to visit and not find something exciting that grabs their attention. A store definitely worth visiting.

I find Fantasy Shop to be a great place to get comics.Ive frequented all the locations including the former Kirkwood store and have come to know various friendly and helpful employees well enough to say hello when I see they have a table at various conventions. Knowledgeable and on top of comic book trends-these guys provide great service to the comic book buyer.Their back issue sales can NOT be beat!

Nice place, the manager with blue hair is incredibly rude to the customers though. At the end of a prerelease he said "if you stayed til the end and you arent in the top half youre an idiot. Why are you still here?" I call ahead and make sure he wont be there when I go play.

Good to great comics and RPG selection. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. All of the Fantasy Shop stores are at least Good. Conveniently located next to a BBQ chain and near a grocery chain.
