I really want to like this neighborhood hardware store, but I have had nothing but unpleasant experiences here. They somehow manage to combine the selection and convenience of a 500 square foot store with the charm of a corporate big box chain. The associates do ask if you need help when you enter, but they are rude and generally not knowledgeable. If you want to check out a drill bit or get some sandpaper, you have to work your way through a series of sliding doors to access them. I literally cannot think of one positive thing to say about this store.

I went in to buy some bolts & screws to repair my car. Needless to say I had trouble. Had it not been for the help given to me by Don Baum, a store manager, Id still be on their lot working to fix my problem right now. He went way beyond the call of duty to not only find me the correct hardware but helped to put it on properly with rain bearing down on us at any second. I spent less than $5.00 that day but got well over $100.00 in service. Thank you, Don Baum. A manager Westlake Ace Hardware can be proud of. Roger C.

The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful when I went there to fix my leaky showerhead. I had previously gone to a big box store that will remain unnamed, and they had given me the wrong parts to repair my showerhead. I went to Ace and they were not only able to tell me what the correct part was, they were able to find an appropriate substitute when they didnt have the component in stock! Two dollars and 10 minutes later, I had a functional showerhead and they had a very satisfied customer!

This is my favorite hardware store EVER! Im always greeted when I enter the store and assistance is offered before Ive made it past the first aisle. The staff know what theyre talking about and I never leave without finding what I shopped for . . . oh, except for sunscreen. They dont carry that anymore. The sales are generous and the coupons I get in the mail make it all the more attractive. I drive past two other hardware stores to get to this particular ACE.

I am so glad that I discovered this hardware store. The customer service is really exceptional and the employees are knowledgable and helpful. They go way above and beyond what is expected. Ill never go back to Lowes and Home Depot again. The prices at Westlake Ace are very competitive as well.

I ordered some items online and had them shipped to this location. I could not help to notice how nice the store was and helpful the staff was. They even loaded my car with the items. This experience was so much nicer than Home Depot where you can shout and no one will hear you!
