One of the reasons I like shopping at TJ Maxx/Home Goods is because its a low pressure shopping environment. But today was completely different. I was in the store maybe 30 minutes and was offered the "rewards" card 3 times. Thats ridiculous. When I put my items on the checkout table the woman made the speil, making sure to never say its a credit card, which it is. She also made sure to never say apply or if youre approved. We told her then we werent interested. At the end of ringing up our items she tries to get our information to "get (us) signed up for the rewards program" again never mentioning its a credit card, applying or getting approved. Luckily we are frequent shoppers and know its a credit card or we could have been swindled into "signing up" for one. When we were walking away the same woman proceeds to complain about coworkers to the other cashier. Oh and while we were checking out she responded to someone on the radio saying they were busy with customers and had a line so they couldnt come help on the floor...there wasnt a line and both me and the woman checking out next to us only had a couple of items. Luckily, Im moving, but typically after this type of "service" I dont return.
