Condition of live saltwater fish is terrible. The tanks were full of algae and debris. I took a chance and bought a $40.00 dottyback from this Petco. When I took it home, I noticed it had ich. It was really hard to see at the store because of the dark lighting. I called and told them, but of course I couldnt get a refund because of their saltwater policy. I quarantined It, but it eventually died and Petco got free money. I will only buy my fish at fish specialty stores only, even if it costs more. I will never buy live anything from them again. UPDATE: I was contacted by Petco corporate. They were very friendly and offered me a refund. They apologized for the horrible treatment. I went back to the store and the cashier offered me my refund with no questions. I am highly satisfied now. I updated my review from 1 star to 4 because of Petcos corporate customer service team.

Some of the employees are wonderful and then some of them have an attitude if you even asked them a question. The store its self is pretty unsanitary and smells horrible I would not recommend purchasing fish from this location because there are either sick or starving to death when you adopt them. Ive bought several tropical fish from the store all of which have died less than a month after purchasing. Ive also seen small rodents dead inside the cage and left there with other rodents eating on them. And nine times out of 10 they never have what we need in stock for our reptiles. Most the time my husband and I take the extra drive out to the olive branch Petco its much nicer and cleaner.

Ive bought over 10 tropical fish from this store all but one survived and yes my 30 gallon fish tank is well established every time they test my water it comes back near perfect. It seems like almost all of their fish are sick from poor management. Most of the staff that work here are unfriendly and act like they dont want to be there even the manager is bitter. I would NOT recommend anyone go to this store to buy a pet. The petco in Memphis is much better they actually care about their fish and small animals.

I have gone to this store a few times to pick up food and supplies for my puppy. The store seems a little run down to me. There were humongous (3 to 4") roach like bugs crawling around in the dog food section. I watched my step the entire time after seeing one of those and try to make sure there are no holes for one to get into when I buy food there. Their staff is always friendly at the checkouts and seem to be good at quickly helping the checkouts get cleared when there are people waiting in line.

This store has extremely unhealthy fish, do not purchase. It is well worth the drive to go elsewhere in the Memphis area. Of the 14 fish Ive purchased here, 5 have died within days of ownership (and yes, my tank is very healthy!). On top of that, they will not honor their "15 day freshwater fish" return policy. On all five fish, I was told that the fish was not identifiable, so no go on a return. Completely ridiculous!!

This store is not very clean and smells awful. I would definitely not by live fish here, as they are unhealthy. Their tanks are not kept clean, with some having dead fish piled up in them. I have bought fish there in the past that appeared healthy, only to have them die with ichdays later. The petco on poplar in Germantown has very healthy live fish, so I drive out of my way to this store.

I take my dogs there to be groomed and have always experienced great service. I stopped going to Petsmart on Winchester because of bad service. Inside all pet stores have a pet smell but I have never experienced the filth and bugs other reviewers talked about. I have also bought fish a turtle from there that were healthy.

Every time I come in here I have to have an employee remove a sick animal from the small animals area. Ive seen dying rats, bleeding mice, and Guniea pigs with their eyes crusted shut at this location.

Came here to get fish. Ignored the whole time and wish there was a Pet smart near by. Two people in the same secetion neither one seemed to be able to stop and help.

Store smells and is overall nasty. I make the extra drive time to go to petsmart in Memphis. Much, much nicer and bigger.

This location always smells. Alot of fish dead in aquatic area. Staff is not friendly. Restrooms are disgusting.
