Doctors Fosters & Smith may be the absolute WORST business that we have ever patronized in our entire lives. We ordered an in-stock product 7 days ago with overnight shipping. The item **STILL HAS NOT SHIPPED** after 7 days of waiting, and the customer service department refuses to refund our overnight shipping expenses. We have called them 3 times and the product still hasnt shipped. The product is in-stock. There have been no apologies from the customer service department, either! They are rude & nasty on the phone, and when we told them that we have had a terrible experience with them, their customer service representative actually said to us: "well, that is your opinion." Our response: "Our opinion that this has been a terrible experience? Weve been waiting 7 days for you to ship an in-stock product that was supposed to ship overnight 7 days ago, and it still hasnt shipped! How is that an OPINION? This is a fact." She replied, "I will make a note on your account that you are unhappy." A note on OUR ACCOUNT? How about a shipping refund? How about an apology? How about a discount on the item, if no shipping refund? How about a NOTE TO THE MANAGEMENT (instead of a note on our account) to let them know of the problem?? All customers beware! This company is the worst we have ever dealt with!

If I could give them negative stars, I would. The employees in the pet center in Rhinelander Wi DO NOT know what they are talking about. When advising us on what parvo vaccination to get for our 5 week old puppies (a liter of 7), they told us, SPECIFICALLY told us to get the highest dose of the vaccine so that we wouldnt have to give one again in 3 weeks. Well, due to their COMPLETE IGNORANCE, the vaccination killed all of our puppies. I came home from work to 7 dying puppies convulsing from siezurea that the vaccination gave them. It caused their brains to shut down. Foster and smith didnt offer us grievance money, our puppies were 3 days away from going to their forever homes, at $500 a pup. They never offered to pay our emergency vet bill (as it was 11 at night and we didnt leave there until 2, having to hold oxygen on puppies faces while they convulse and holding them while they get anticonvulsant shots is honestly the worst thing you could ever imagine). Not only did we lose our puppies,we lost friendships and money due to their ignorance. I will NEVER go back to those idiots. Dont believe anything that they tell you, hey dont know what the f*** they are talking about.

I live in canada and ordered a dog bed on November 19th. I got an order confirmation but after that no communication. I eventually contacted the Dr Fosters site and asked them for an update at which point they told me the order had been delivered and signed for (which it hadnt been). As it turns out the order had been received at customs. So I waited for it to clear customs and another few weeks rolled by. At this point the dog I had ordered the bed for I sadly had to put down due to a brain tumour. When I contacted the the Dr Foster people again, they said the order was now on its way BACK to Dr Foster (Ive no idea why). I then asked that since my dog passed away would it be possible to get a full refund, since Id neither received the product or been able to use it. It is now over a month since I ordered the product and Ive seen no refund as of yet, nor any communication to me as to the whereabouts. This was my first experience with this website and will be my last. I buy things online all the time and this is quite possible the worst service I have ever experienced.

WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN!!!!! Everyone knows UPS is notorious for damaging all the packages that ships through them, so why would you pack a 46" LED strip, a 15lbs bucket of Coral Sea Salt, and a 16oz bottle of Live Bacteria in 1 box? My box looked like a neanderthal packed it. Salt bucket busted open and salt is everywhere. I call customer service and I not only do I have to send back the busted bucket but I have to wait until they receive it before they send me a replacement bucket via 5 day shipping. GO FIGURE!!!!!! 100% Customer Satisfaction My Ass!!!! That statement is a joke! How about you apologize for the inconvenience, spare me the I Cants and Unfortunatelys and rectify the problem quickly. Another 10 days I have to wait to get anything done from you guys is not 100% Customer Satisfaction. I should have order my products from Bulk Reef Supply. I wont sacrifice low prices for low service I could have just went to Wal-Mart if that was the case. NEVER AGAIN!

Horrible Customer Service online. Pretty good service if you call them. Have had an order placed for almost 7 days now. Still no tracking number. I emailed Foster and Smith Friday. Still no word. So save yourself the trouble and just call the 800 Number. All but 1 of the phine reps was good. The bad one want rude per se, she just had that "i would rather be doing something else than answer questions about pet meds or getting your vets info" tone. But aside from that the order was placed correctly and I received it about 3 days later. So 5* for phone support zero stars for online support. FWIW they charged my credit card the same day I placed the order online they just must not have email in Wisconsin.

This company is a disaster as far as customer service goes. Read all the reviews on Yelp before you use them. While their prices are low, the cost is high in frustration and difficulty in getting errors fixed, if you can. Dont order prescriptions that are important to your pet, as they may get delayed and even cancelled without notification to you. Their reordering system on their web page is a joke. You cant order a refill by the prescription number! If you can figure out how to order a refill, then they say the vet has to verify, but they cancel the order without notice if they dont get that taken care of within a few days. The worst part is that the owners obviously dont care.

I honestly love this site, it has everything i need for my small pets and fish. i save hundreds a year buying online in bulk, everything arrives quickly and have never had a problem with packaging or damage or quality. My guinea pigs love the hay and toys and food, my only problem is they have a horrible selection of gerbil/hamster food, so i still have to go to the big chains for that. REALLY wish they would stock it, also dr foster and smith brand items arent really that great for your pets depending. you think doctors would know that guinea pigs shouldnt have seeds/corn fillers in their pellets! but if you know what to buy this site saves you tons, never had a problem.

Foster and Smith is my go to for all animal supplies. I dont understand the other negative reviews. After years (and years and years) I have not ever had a problem with fast shipping or packing. One product I ordered was received damaged and they replaced it free and with overnight delivery. I could not be more pleased. I have found their customer service to be top notch...like that other Wisconsin company I love so much, Lands End, whose customer service is legendary. Foster and Smith have not ever let me down. I wonder if the negative reviews posted are really true customers. I have always been treated very well and have loved all the products I have purchased.
