Green Queen

Midway Cub Foods store is well stocked & has big aisles. The International & ethnic food area is very good, but a tad bit pricey on some items, but its better than going to some of the local ethnic food stores that smell of old meat, stink of fish & you have to constantly check the expiration date, and or rub the dust off on boxes and cans. Long check-out lines usually start after 11:30 am. A few cashiers are nice, some are a bit rude, and there is a shorter female cashier who seems to gab about what foods will make a person fat, gain weight & be unhealthy. This particular cashier usually gives her opinion on unhealthy foods as she is scanning them. And if an over weight person is her next customer, then the cashier amps up her voice so the next customer gets an earful. btw this cashier could lose some weight too. Just saying.... Pharmacy has been awesome with filling prescriptions in a timely manner & giving reminder calls when drugs need to be picked up. Sadly the outside walkway has become a hangout for meth heads, crack heads, thugs, and yes even a spastic prostitute or two coming off a meth induced high. They are charging up their cell phones in a wall plug near the exit door outside. They pester customers for money, food, & cigarettes - if they catch a person smoking. Many times Ive seen a neither-do-well pick up a smoldering cigarette (tossed from a customer entering the store) and finish smoking it off! This Cub store really needs a rent a cop security person standing outside to keep the riffraff away & keep the multitude of people sitting in their cars at curbside moving along. These people block traffic, slows up customers entering & exiting the store, and the mobility buses that come there to drop off & pick up disabled & senior persons constantly have problems due to the curbside parking.

Team Spirits

I shop here almost every week and never find myself to be disappointed. All the aisles are very clean, all food and miscellaneous items were neatly organize and the employees are very nice and friendly. Anytime I had difficulty finding a specific item, I ask any of them and they always assist with good positive attitude. The cashiers are friendly and I love how if I got an item on sale in their coupon book, theyll scan the coupon so to give me that deal thus saving me a few greens. I love shopping here and will continue to do so for many years to come.

I had the worst experience here. I went to the restroom and there was no toilet paper and I told an employee that was in the restroom as well and she completely ignored me and walked out of the bathroom. She act like I wasnt even there. After that i just did my shopping and I saw the young lady in the food department looking at me like nothing happened. She could atleast said she could tell someone about the issue. But she just walked away. Worst customer service ever.

I use to come here about once every two weeks. Now very rarely.. Its has the worst customer service of any Cub that I have been to in the Twin Cities area. Yesterday, when I was unloading my hand basket at the check- out counter; I noticed that there was a clump of hair at the bottom of the basket!!!! My advice is to go to any other grocery store before this one!!! I also should mention that their check- out lines are are the slowest in human history......

This is my go-to grocery store when I am at home. Convenienctly located, plenty of parking, good selection. I have rarely found anything I needed to be out of stock. I especially love their international cheese selection. The inclusion of a TCF Bank branch is ver convenient. I wouldnt want to shop here late at night by myself (be in the parking lot) but during the day or with a friend I feel totally safe. Staff is generally friendly and helpful.

I have shopped at the Midway Cub Foods since it first opened and it is the best grocery store in the area. Everyone has always been helpful, friendly and courteous. I especially am grateful for the pleasant deli employees and the informative and friendly service in the pharmacy. I can always fond somebody to help me if need be. This store is my favorite,

This is a good place but there is stupid people who worked there. I once tried to get a money gram from sn elderly woman shereplied whats a money gram. I told her what it is and said we dont sell that here and there is a sign that said money gram behind. I went to walmart and had no problems.

Nice cashiers big variety of foods. Very easy to find where you need to go and get what you need to get. A lot of parking space and in a good location. Very fast and easy to check out and pay. My only problem is that it is a little to big and usually runs out of the things we need.

This cub Foods is usually good but today there was zero carts available and a lot of people. The lines at the check out were very long. However, and this why I gave 3 stars, I found everything I needed and the person at the checkout was nice but very efficient. Kudos.

Its a large chain grocery store, you get what you expect Im that regard. Nothing special, wide lanes and a lot of people. There is usually a long line at checkout regardless of time of day, which is a bit odd.

Clean and well stocked. This is where to shop for groceries if you live in the midway or frogtown. Cub is open 24 hours a day. If you still smoke like I do, they sell cigarettes late night.

Wow, just picked up a 6 pound package of country pork ribs. Got home and literally the entire package was junk. The butcher left a 2 inch fat cap on and hid it under a thin layer of meat.

Everything was right were I could get it except for diet Pepsi 12 pack cans were way underneath, and had to dig down for then and no diet Pepsi 6 pack 16 oz bottles at all in store.

This is a perfectly average grocery store. There is nothing particularly wrong with it, but also nothing particularly special. My wife and I are here approximately weekly.

Over-priced. Deli counter servers told us that Deli was closed at 9pm, when in fact it closes at 10pm. Glad the manager walked by and heard them.
