There Are Better Options. Not being a native Minnesotan, I have not drank deep of the "Cub" of Everlasting Frustration. My first frustration with Cub seems to be their coupon system. Having 3 different places with 3 different sets of coupons gets frustrating. When you are in a long checkout line and you saw Tombstone Pizzas are 3 for $10, but dang! You forgot the coupon at the front! Now you have to run over to the front to grab it, or wait for the inept employee to riffle through his ziplock bag to stumble across it. Either way, everyone behind you is frustrated, you are frustrated, and the under-trained individual behind the counter is eventually going to be frustrated once he figures it out. Now that youve purchased your groceries, you get to bag them yourself! Even Walmart will bag your groceries for you! But hey, they say "They are passing the savings onto you"...No, They are increasing their throughput time of customers so they can see higher profits. Their prices are no where near what I would consider a good value, unless you count the infamous coupon deals that Ive previously discussed. The only thing Cub Foods has going for it is that its from Minnesota, and Minnesota loves Minnesota. I laugh because they know thats all they have, check out their billboards, thats all they can comment on! "Born in MN". Seems like its pretty weak to base your entire company success solely on where you are from. Bigger, Better, and Stronger Companies will continue to infiltrate the Twin Cities until the Mammoth Bear of a Grocery Store known as Cub is reverted back to its fetal stage and that is the position they will stay in unless they pull their heads out of their freshly baked buns and learn from their vastly superior competition. I love that Hy-Vee has come into the cities and showing them how to treat their customers and their employees. Soon my sweet...soon... I know we get one track minded from time to time and so Ive outlined some alternatives for folks that are still stuck on Cub. For Better Prices - Shop Aldi, Target and Walmart (Hy-Vee Coming Soon to Shakopee!) For Better Service - Shop Target, Aldi, and Walmart (Hy-Vee Coming Soon to Shakopee!) For Better Selection - Shop Target, Walmart, and (Hy-Vee Coming Soon to Shakopee!) Remember Minnesota, just because its from Minnesota, it doesnt mean you have to clap your hands for it! Theres a whole big world out there!

Love, love, love the gluten free labeling on the shelves!! My daughter was recently diagnosed with celiac disease. As if shopping wasnt already a challenge! Had a horrible time trying to locate GF products at other stores! Thank you sooo much Cub for making this so much easier to find these specific products and cut my time spent shopping in half! I will drive out of my way to shop at your stores from now on! Always a great value and wonderful sales! Love my Cub❤

An average grocery store. Prices are somewhat higher than other stores and the place is poorly laid out, and outdated in design. Customer service at cub is so-so to not existent. Be prepared to bag your own groceries or be guilted to get cash back for whatever local group is bagging for tips. Honestly, I will be happy when Hyvee opens nearby.

I found dead magets inside my rotisserie chicken was bought on 12/26/16 @ 12:15 pm Please do not buy them at this cub! I feel sick to my stomach and so does my family. They use cheap torture chickens that are already rotten with magets crawl all over them! Who knows how many in are there. Yuck!!!!

I like cub, just not their prices. Ever since rainbow not the dust, they have price gouged us. Too bad because there isnt much of a Choice to shop around here. Produce and meat are great, just not for the prices..i could go to lunds and pay that price. The distance is what stops me.

The store was overhauled and looks clean and neat. Cub has always been a good grocery store though I dont care to much for the deli meat. Their produce has improved and looks very neat and well stocked. They have almost everything you will need for most recipes.

This cub location has a great selection of items that should be found in any grocery store but most dont. Lots of great deals all the time, and with your cub card theres no more clipping coupons, because theyre already on the cub card!

Been shopping at this location for 2 years now. The service is poor at best, the store regularly smells bad, and it is messy. In my opionion the older employees are lazy and far to secure in their positions, and it shows.

Cub Foods is the perfect place for locals in Shakopee to purchase virtually any food item on their list. The store is not too big and yet it provides all the items desired. It is conveniently located in Shakopee as well.

Great produce and delivery, and we always have good customer service. My biggest issue has always been the ridiculous prices. Now that Aldi, Walmart and others are in town, prices do seem to be leveling out a bit.

Overall good experience, but one product that I wanted was outdated, employee did not seem concerned and jut put product back in the display case after I said that I didnt want it.

As a Shakopee native, Im excited for Hy-Vee to come to the surrounding area. Cub does little to improve the feel of the store. Its really starting to feel outdated.

Get rid of the coupons and the confusing "Buy one get 2 blah blah". Get the prices right on the item to match the checkout.
