My son is about to enter college and saved up his hard-earned money, over many months, for a Macbook Pro. Since I had already had experience with Affordamac, I steered him toward them. Ordering was easy and, after shopping around, we knew he was getting a very very good (refurbished) laptop at a great value. When it arrived, my son was pleased with it overall but was a little bothered by a scratch on the top of the case. Since he had worked so hard to save, I offered to call Affordamac and see if there might be a way to swap it out. I got ahold of Theodore and explained the situation. He was AWESOME. He told me to use the pre-paid label and send it back, on their dime, and in no time at all, we got another one, sent via expedited shipping. This one looked brand new! Additionally, Theodore swapped out the hard drive from the first one so my son did not have to reconfigure anything or redo what he had done with the first unit. It was seamless! Theodore did a couple additional things to make up for my sons "trouble". The long-and-short of it is that this company made this customer, a young man, very happy and demonstrated to him what "customer service" is truely all about. Affordamac obviously stands behind their products and provides the service to prove it. This is our second transaction with Affordamac. Their record? 100% satisfaction with us. We will not shop anywhere else, and Im sure Ill be back when I, as the last member of our family, "ditch the PC" and go the Mac route. Thanks Theodore for proving that TRUE customer service still exists!

Edit: 4/20/2017 The owner of the company did reach out to me after posting a negative review and they did make this situation right. 4 stars instead of 5 because it shouldnt have come to that. It is unfortunate that I had to post a negative review to get them to respond to me, but I do understand their company is not defined by one bad customer service experience, which leadership likely wasnt aware of. Ill give the benefit of the doubt. After it all they did replace my system with an upgraded version and so far so good. 3/20/27 Purchased a MacBook Pro from them which was a complete LEMON from the start. Various issues and couldnt even do simple web browsing without crashing and rebooting. Had it in their shop THREE times and got it back with the same issues, sometimes worse issues. Finally, they essentially told me it was out of the warranty period and they wouldnt help me anymore without paying their fees to replace the hard drive. Lemon product, and they wont stand by it - also, their customer service is about as bad as it gets. Once they realized I wasnt going to pay for the repairs to my computer that was broken from the day I purchased it, they simply started to IGNORE ME and stopped responding. Likely to recommend? ummmm...NO. In fact I have gone out of my way to tell all of my audio friends and colleagues to avoid them. Poor customer service will sink businesses. Poor customer service plus a bad product you wont stand by? as bad as it gets. I would recommend you steer clear of Affordamac.

I found this company on Google when I was looking to purchase a new/used Mac. I spilled apple juice on my old MacBook Pro and did not have the money to purchase a new MBP so I enlisted the services of Affordamac. I went in and told the sales person what I was looking for and he set me up with a 15 inch MBP, I got it home and got it all setup and quickly realized that it was a bit to big for me (my previous version was a 13 inch). I brought it back into the store a few days later and they were eager to set me up with a 13 inch and included a ton of free add ins since the specs I was looking for were out of stock. Ultimately I ended up with a $2,000 computer for $700. It is a little beat up (as it was used) but they included a hard shell case with it at no additional charge. Great customer service and I will definitely be back when it is time to trade up. They also buy used Macs, iPhones, iPads, etc. I traded in an iPhone at the time of purchase and they gave me $50 more than Verizon would!

Getting assistance from a professional is always valued. I was given several options, solutions, prices points to consider, educated, and learned about what I ended up buying. Adam was gracious with his time, patient with my ignorance, and helpful in guiding me into my new computer. These devices are sophisticated. What I need isnt an easy answer for me but Adam worked to hep me find it. Others may know what they need, more specialized with awareness of variables like processing speed, memory, technical features, etc. Adam framed his questions to help me understand what I will be getting and provided several options with pros and cons. Ill likely will never experience that in a "big box." Thank you Adam.

I live in Minneapolis and was looking into buying a mac for my wife to use for work. If you want to buy your computer from a hungover minimum wage dude named Skylar who hasnt shaved and has dorito dust all over his hands theres tons of places to do that. If you want someone who knows apple products and comes to work because they get to do something they love, go here. The refurbished prices are better than amazon or apple, and youll talk to a real human being about what you need and why. We came out with a computer that suited our needs, a bunch of free throw ins, and a money back satisfaction guarantee -- and the employee kept the store open late to talk things through and test out the computer.

Over the past 18 months I have purchased two MacBooks from Affordamac, and I highly recommend this business. Both laptops were in near new condition. Both offered features nearly identical to those currently available through Apple, yet nearly half the cost. Customer service is excellent. I am very appreciative of the staffs frank honesty in helping me pick a computer with everything I need - nothing more, nothing less. All products come with a one year warranty although I havent needed it. Do yourself a favor and shop Affordamac first. Use the money saved to buy a machine that wouldve well exceeded your budget if you were shopping new.

Updated: While I have had a few issues with the battery on my Mac, customer service is extremely helpful and seems to genuinely care that I walk away with a product that functions the way it should. When I posted a complaint I had, not only did they reply to my comment here, they took the initiative to pull up my number and gave me a call to see what they could do to fix the entire situation. Aside from the issues Ive had, the computer I have is really great and fits my needs perfectly. Between the two things this is definitely a great company all-around.

Affordamac is a GREAT place!!! I got a nice deal on a Macbook Pro and Adam was EXTREMELY helpful in getting it setup as I requested. Spent time with me explaining things when I picked up the machine as well. It was so refreshing dealing with a business that really wanted to help you find the right equipment that you needed and then assisting with my configuration requests. Id give them a grade of A+++++++ and then some!!! You wont be disappointed working with the staff and with a 90 day warranty, how can you go wrong?!?!?!
