Came in to pick out some material for a quilt. I usually prefer jo-anns over hancock so i went to jo-anns first. Waited at the cutting counter, there were a few others as well. They called for help and the manager shows up to help after a bit. Excellent. As I was asking if they still carried the double wide quilt material she began speaking into her headset to answer another persons question or something - completely ignoring me. I was completely dumbfounded. She gave the excuse of having a manager in training that day. In what world is it ok to completely ignore a customer without so much as an excuse me?!? This was the manager on duty doing this, I kid you not. I had to repeat my question and her response was something ineffectual like "I think so, but we dont have a lot of it" she didnt offer to help me look or anything of the sort. Got to the checkout and the wait was a little long, as usual. When my cupon didnt work, she blew me off, responding that she was the manager and that is just how the system was. The coupon would havery been an extra $2 off not a lot, and normally it would have been fine. But coupled with the rest of the experience I had enough. I ended up leaving without anything, including the few skins of yarn I had picked up while waiting near the cutting counter. I drove straight to Hancocks and had great customer service. Other Jo-anns are great, but skip this one. I would agree with the others as well, the store is aged and on the dirty side.

Absolute horrible experience except for 2 staff. Went in to buy some fabric at 8:45 pm and wasnt greeted by any of the staff. Marissa was the staff that was at the cutting station watched us walk by when we came in and didnt even say a word. Once we found our fabric. Went to the cutting station and the same employee was having a personal conversation. Marissa one of the staff saw us come in saw us there waiting and walked away and stated to another staff you can help them. Marissa then went to go personal shopping for her own items. The other staff was helpful and considerate. When we went to check out there was the staff Marissa again, she cut in line in front of us and was talking about what a great deal she got and how much money she saved. I understand that it was a great deal, but the lack of customer service was apparent. Deb the who rung us out was fabulous, she was patient and answered all my questions, even helped me look for a coupon. I have worked retail before and in all of my years doing so, I have never been allowed to purchase items while on the clock, ignore customers and cut in line before a paying customer. Im so appalled by Marissa the employee we wont be going back ever. I am only giving the star due to the fact that I have to and Deb and the other employee.

worst customer experience in a very long time. I came into the store to buy a few supplies for a project I am working on for my son. New to childrens patterns, I asked if I could speak to a someone that could answer a question I had about measurements. They young girl asked me to ask her and she would ask someone else. Ok- so I did and she came back to me and said, "just use your measurements." Thanks- that helps- so glad I asked. I even brought my toddler with to hopefully get some help. Then, he sees a ball- I ask, " how much is the ball?" She scans it and says $3.99. I am okay with that. At the checkout however, by bill is more than expected, I ask what item was 9.99 as I only had. Piece of elastic, a button pack, and a sofa besides the ball. She said the ball. I told her that we price checked it and it was supposed to be $3.99. She didnt even check! Just said well that is what it says. I told her I didnt want it then. Sooooo disappointed. And now I have a screaming toddler that expected to be getting a fun ball. :/

By far one of the worst stores I have ever been to, beyond just craft stores. Terrible customer service, slow, under staffed, and no one is ever available to help. The fabric counter is always going to be a minimum 15 minute wait and the checkout line can take just as long if its busy. If you dont have to dont go here.

Great service in the fabric area and the friendliest cashier of my day yesterday! Could have had additional help up front to minimize the wait but overall I love this store and will continue to shop there because of the selection, the sales and the service!

Karen the sales associate was super helpful, engaged with us, answered our questions and took us exactly what we need for our project... the staff was courtesy and didnt hurry us out even though we walked jn the store 19 min before closing time.

The store is filthy every time I have shopped there over the years. Simply disgusting, as in, not that they didnt clean the floors that day, but they hadnt done it in a month or more. Large dust bunnies chasing each other through the aisles. Ewww

They have a good selection of products and their coupon options are great. However the staff doesnt really offer you any help when they see you you have to ask. Its a bit dirty in there too.

The entrance was a bit hard to find, but helpful staff. Its a very crowded place, but always fun to find new things to make and start to be creative.

Decent slightly more expensive/over priced fabric selection. They accept competitor coupons!! And coupons on your cell phone.
