TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I was calling to get information regarding applying for a job. I had been directed to the Maple Grove store. I followed the directions given by the representative that I was directed to. I had to call back because the information was incorrect. I could tell she was irritated but she gave me new info which also turned out to be incorrect. I called a third time, spoke to the same women and after explaining that her info was still incorrect (very politely, I wasnt upset, just wanted to get an application) she blurted "I cant help you!" and hung up on me. I called Corporate and explained my situation and my experience with the Maple Grove Store. They apologized, gave me the correct website information and I was able to get my application. All she had to do was make that call to corporate and call me back. So simple. I avoid the MG store.

Worse customer service ever. Walked around the store for 45 min and it wasnt busy at all. They were well staffed and not even a hello from any staff. Had to track down 2 employees to ask about an item. 1st employee didnt even give us the time of day, when we asked if there was more fabric or if it was being cut. She responded, no, we had a big sale so we are out and walked away. Didnt even look at what we were looking for. Went and asked another employee, she said no and walked away. Neither one said hello or offered to call another store to check. Needless to say, wont be going back, will find my craft items else where. If I could I would give zero stars.

I made a special trip there to buy some albums. I bought some other things as well. I have three small children so any shopping trip is a big endeavor. I checked out and when I got home learned the cashier had not given me all of my bags! Of course the bag missing is the one with the most expensive items including the three albums I made the trip there for in the first place! Was the cashier that stupid or is she a thief? I have worked in retail security and know it is very common for cashiers to steal from customers. Beware-make sure they give you what you paid for.

Its not too bad. I liked the variety of things they have in that store. Its sad to say they have such bad reviews in terms of customer service. I can see what they mean, though. While I was looking at some wooden letters, there were 3 workers there having a conversation right next to me and didnt bother to move the big cart that was in my way. It bothered me a little but I wasnt extremely upset about it. I hope that someone from corporate would read this and fire the manager or something.

Yikes - I came in looking for Rainbow fabric. I went through all the fabric and then asked for help as I could not find it. The fabric employee stated what they had was out there. I looked online and showed her it said it was in stock. Her and another employee looked and then never came back. Then I waited in line to pay for another fabric for 20 minutes. The cashier was having people look up discounts on their phone!! Totally maddening.

Ive had excellent customer service experiences there. Everyones always been very nice and helpful. Theyre even kind to my toddler. We feel very welcome there. With the exception of wool roving, they have had every normal and odd craft and sewing thing I need. Yes, cutting tables can be slow, but thats true everywhere. Id rather they take the time to get it exactly right. Measure twice, cut once, right? :-)

I cant believe that this store doesnt carry items for t-shirt decorations (iron on letters, numbers, etc) in the colors of the local high schools.....oragne & black, crimson & gold. Ribbons and polar fleece in these colors would also be fantastic. The last 3 or 4 visits to this store Ive walked out without buying a single item. Very disappointing.

Stood in line for 15 min to get fabric cut not knowing there are numbers at the counter. when I was next all of a sudden there were people who swooped in with their numbers. The clerk just looked at me and let people cut In front of me. I gave up, put my fabric down and left. Her reaction was priceless just a shrug.

I had the misfortune of encountering the rudest employee named Barb who was so off-putting that Ill never return to this store in my life. Even other customers said openly that they couldnt stand the poor attitude. Its too bad, considering the years Ive shopped at other Jo Ann stores and all the money Ive spent.

HORRIBLE customer service! Got there one minute before closing just to grab some thread and they refused to let me in! I called the manager while I was on my way because I knew it would be close to closing time. She refused to let me in and then hung up on me when I said I would be contacting corporate!

I had decent customer service, but was frustrated by the layout of the store. There are not really "sections". Its more of a random maze. Didnt care for this location...thought it would be nicely organized as it is Maple Grove. Ill stick with the Coon Rapids location:)

Visited the custom framing center. I love that there are so many different options and they have the technology to show you what it will look like on their computer. Very friendly staff at the Maple Grove location I visited!

Generally I like this store, but you can end up waiting awhile for cutting service, have difficulty finding items or finding someone to help. However when you do find someone, they are friendly and try hard to help.
