Might be a good place to buy stuff (at near retail prices) but skip this place if youre looking to pawn or sell something. I took in my Dean Electric Acoustic bass (fat bottom) with a brand new soft case (retail $60 w/tag still on) and was told that since it was "dinged up" (one scratch on top of body under the neck), the next was "bent" (even though when I had the truss rod adjusted a few months back, it was fine), and lets not forget the ever popular pawn shop rip-off line, "and these just arent selling right now"...I was offered a whopping $30 "tops" for the bass and the case!!! I tried my best to compose myself so as to not be rude and laugh in front of him but I could tell he CLEARLY didnt know what he was talking about. He claimed that you could find them online with a case brand new for $180, even though they still go on ebay USED for $200. And yeah, I know how pawn shops work so I checked ahead of time. The whole experience was laughable. I have a nice Fender Jazz bass Im tempted to bring in just for the sheer comedy of seeing them try to price that one. My guess would be $100 for a $1,500 bass. :) Theres a Pawn America down the road a little bit, south on 81 so keep going and skip this rip-off joint.

Cheeky Squirrel Nuts

Very poor service and pawn buy prices. I waited in line for one hour, despite being the only person in line to sell, and was offered $6 for items that I was offered $50 at Pawn America. I normally hate P.A., but this place makes them seem like philanthropists. The workers are rude, and very unprofessional in attire and attitude. I do NOT recommend this pawn shop to anyone. I went back a second time to give these guys another chance, but they really tried to screw me over big time. I brought in a bunch of retro games and systems worth at least $300, and was offered less than $20. The guy was telling me that my games are 1 cent each online, which is bull. Three of the games are worth over $100, and two others are worth about $30 each. The systems are going for about $80 together. And yes, I was going by the low end sale prices on EBay, Amazon, Craigslist, etc...I have a layaway here, which they will not transfer what I have paid to store credit. On that note, the sign inside says 10% down on layaways, but I was told to pay $13 on a $70 item. They are not honest at all, and I highly recommended going to Pawn America or Excel Pawn over this two-but operation.

Very rude employees. Pray on ppl who need fast cash or there to buy something. They belittle ppl from what I experienced. They say they buy anything but truly they do not. They pick and choose what they can make a fast buck on. There prices are very high considering they are a pawn shop and things that are for sale has a mark up of 100% so beware and do your homework before buying, selling or pawning things with them before you travel to Crystal to do business with them. I just to buy a lot of things out of that pawn shop years ago but ever since new owners came in a couple of years ago the store has gone down hill fast. The manager is very rude like you dont know what you are talking about and that guy with the ponytail tells you one thing and does another. Beware, they are only there to rip you off. Never going into that business ever again. They need to be run out of town but there are ppl who need fast cash so whats a person suppose to do!!

They sold me fake Beats headphones. Went in just to browse, and saw some reasonably priced wireless Beats headphones. Slight cosmetic damage but I didnt want them to look good, just to use around the house. Asked a few questions to make sure there was nothing wrong with them. Guy told me he personally tested them himself. Spent an hour trying to get the bluetooth to work, then realized the cord he gave me is the wrong size and a different brand. Finally I find out that you can plug beats into your computer and use an app to verify their authenticity. It recognized no Beats products. Avoid this place unless you love to throw money away (and if so, use my garbage can instead, please!)

His Creation

Scam artists. We called to verify how much we could get for an item before we came all the way to the store. They asked for the model number and told us the dollar amount they would give us. When we got to the store 20 minutes later and presented the almost new item still in the box, we were told they could only give us a fraction of what they stated on the phone. They Manger said he wouldnt make money if he gave the price that was quoted to us on the phone. So they are praying on people in hopes you will be desperate enough to just give in and take the much lower price than what they initially offered. Beware!!!!

Nerdy Fail

Bought a ps4 there for 99.99 sold as is and what was wrong with it was "disc tray (eject, insert) is broken" thats what was wrote on there sticker. Turns out when I had time to go look at it a couple days later turns out the hdmi pins on the ps4 were pushed into the system and I had to replace that. Replaced it with a new one and got it working and the disc tray works just fine so I think I still got a good deal just that they shouldnt be writing the wrong stuff.. But I should of been a careful buyer and had them test it there. So for that I give them 3 stars.

This Pawn Shop has the worst customer service and seems to have all of its employees taking care of people with their pawns and not assisting people who are there to buy. My wife and I have waited up to an hour to look at some jewelry or coins. At times, the line for pawns are running out the door, the shop is laid out poorly for taking pawns. The manager needs to understand that people do go to pawn shops to buy items too, it is not just for pawns.

Extremely slow service. I tried to pawn a radio system, speakers, movies and a phone. They didnt take any of it. Such a waste of time. The two men of color that work here have been polite and bought my movies and blu-ray player. But everyone else Ive dealt with here has been rude to me and wont offer me money for any of my items in good condition.

Rip off when dealing with layaway. If you need to cancel your layaway you lose your initial first down payment and only get what ever payment/s you made there after. So if you put down 100.00 on layaway and your payment/s after that may be only 30-40.00, then you ONLY get the 30/40 payment/s made. THEY SUCK!!!!!!!

This a pretty good pawn shop with thats had a few bad employees in the past. Ive been visiting local pawn shops for many years and this store has pretty consistently improved. The management team here (now that Mandy no longer works here,) seems pretty great.
