Before I detail my experience.. Who buys a laptop at a Pawn Shop and goes home to find it locked with a password and is forced to go back and deal with resolving it, and then says the staff was nice and pleasant in taking care of it and gives a five star review? Any Pawn Shop that sells you a laptop with a password on it is a crappy Pawn shop. Its about the easiest and most obvious problem to spot in the business. Snapped in 2 is the only easier issue to diagnose. I visited this location between Christmas and New Years to relieve myself of some spare items I had replaced during the holidays. One item I offered them retails currently for $400. I didnt have the original box of charger with me. When it didnt have a charge, the person helping me said he wouldnt be interested because they dont like to take items without knowing if the battery is good. I had to go to my car and dig out a USB cable and AC Adapter - not the original. Resultantly, it powered and began charging. He asked what I wanted and I quoted him the rate Amazon would pay to trade in. He offered me $100 less. $130 for a $400 item in no less than immaculate condition. I was told that they dont like taking Phones and tablets and mobile tech because they have a hard time selling it. What?!?!? These are the most popular categories on Craigslist and EBay, and they cost the least to ship and can be appraised for condition with ease and accuracy. Power tools? Machinery? Cars? These are the items that prove considerably more difficult to define absolute value. He told me the average going price of another item, an Unlocked T-Mobile Galaxy S4, was $70 and could offer me $30, $40 at most. I had just checked the lowest offering price on EBay, Craigslist, Amazon, and Swappa. Not one of them had a closing price under $110 - for fair condition items. I told him as much and he said he "Didnt want to argue, it was all there in front of him on the monitor he was looking at to evaluate price in " Black and White". I didnt argue. I will be visiting this business only one more time to pick up my item, drop off a couple screen grabs showing the offers several competing shops would make, and let them know they will be out of a job in 6 months if they keep it up. Youd think a Pawn Shop next to a horse track would figure out repeat business would be valuable enough to try and create and retain.

I just want to tell people that they are not a big pawn shop. I have gone to them for years for help. Yes I could get more from bigger pawn shops in the cities. Pawning you have to understand they are a middle man to sell your stuff. When they get to know you and you repeat business they are more flexible. All the guys there are great and in my experience are fair with what they give. You cant see a price on EBay and expect to get that price paid. If you dont come pick your items up they have to sell it. I dont use anyone else because they have helped me in some tough spots in my life. I saw some reviews on here, go pawn at other shops to see that they are competitive. Yes they are by gambling establishments but they buy what they know they can sell. UNDERSTAND Pawn Shops do business like this. These guys are great with returning customers. Its a mom and pop establishment and they go by what the average is for the value of the item and give a lower price then what you see used on EBay because they have to sell it for the EBay Prices. I saw the reviews and I just dont think people understand how a pawn shop works.

These guys are ALL very genuine and helpful people! If you give them business often and/or do not lose any of your items in pawn they will take AMAZING care of you! Brad, just a couple of days ago greeted me at the door and knew who I was before I handed him my I.D. Most of the other staff members do the same. No matter what your race, gender or sexual orientation is these guys will take care of you if you are a good customer and take care of them. This is my favorite pawn shop in Minnesota and I have been to them all pretty much. These guys deserve this and I could not appreciate their owner and employees anymore than I already do today because they have already gone far and beyond what ANY other pawn shops have done for me all combined. Honestly being really nice with just 1 star. I called about the new ufc game and was told I could get maybe 10 bucks for an almost 80 dollar game then he went on to say it was on Amazon for 20 lol what a joke I looked it up and at cheapest they had it for 40. I called GameStop were I bought the game and they gave me 25 for it. Screw this place is a rip off look around before selling your items to a place that will buy something from you for little to nothing and sell it like it came in brand New be smart guys get your moneys worth and never trust an idiot that knows nothing about what their talking about. Its sad when a game store has better deals than a pawn shop barely making a 3 star review

Im not sure why that guy before me was talking like it was a bad thing that he was offered $100 for his $400 item. Cuz thats actually really lucky for pawn shops. Ive sold $600-$900 items and only recieved $150 and this is from multiple pawn shops. So again. Like I said, very lucky. Lol besides, I happen to LOVE this pawn shop. Out of all the ones Ive been to this one is by far the best. All the employees are super nice and fun to talk to. It actually seems like a fun place to work. And theyre all pretty good looking too! Lol not that any of that matters. ;) anyway just wanted people to not be detoured from coming here cuz of this bozos msg before me. Lol

The guys that work there are wonderful awesome and funny. You give them respect and patience and you will get it back. They do the very best for me every time I go in there by helping me out anyway that they are able to. I am very grateful for them because they have bailed me out of so many situations and I did not even have to lose a thing. If youre looking for great customer service and a bang for your buck please stop there

Every time I go in here they are great to me. All the employees treat you with respect and are helpful. Today I went in to pick up an item that I pawned that they made a whooping 14$ on and yet when I asked them if they would go online and print a coupon for the oil change place I was heading to next, no hesitation and searched online then printed for me. These little things really matter. Best pawn shop in the area

Very poor service, they sell you products like Wii and laptops that have problems or are overheating. I bought a Wii from them and returned it because it kept crashing and saying "error restart" I also bought a Toshiba laptop, and when I went home I found out that it severely overheats. They dont inspect these products at all and just blindly resell them careless of the buyer.
