Worst experience ever. I paid cash for a 2001 Chevy Malibu in December of 2015. Service was fine, car was not great, but what do you expect for $1200. They promised that I would have title in a few weeks. Title never arrives. I call, and call, and call, and keep being referred to the title person, who NEVER ONCE called me back in over a year of calls. I finally got the state of MN involved (wonderful people!). It turned out that Lake Street Auto Mart SOLD ME A CAR THEY DIDNT HAVE TITLE TO and didnt tell me or bother to do anything about it. I finally got the state to stop their ability to process sales/titles until they fixed it and after about another month (including having to drive 45 minutes each way across town to sign another document) I finally received title, 16 MONTHS LATE. I would heartily recommend that NO ONE buy a car here.

After my 78 year old mother bought 3 cars with bad engines and 1 car with a bad tranny within the last 6 months. Told by the last 4 sellers they have been diagnosed with cheap easy fixes. Are there any good honest people left out there? Well I took her myself to look at this craigslist add. Test driving it i said I wouldnt be surprised if the wheel fell off and needed work done immediately but the engine and tranny seem fine so she decided to make her purchase. The add said 650 and was confirmed over the phone before this 35 mile trip and when she sat down ready to purchase the owner said not at that price unless you wash and cook the next 2 years for me, the price is 995 and as we walked out one man said Im sorry my manager said to price it 650

WORST PLACE TO GO !!!! DO NOT COME HERE!!! Over 30 phone calls after my car started to have problems for them to answer and be rude!!! I didnt even have my car for a month before it completely stopped working . I bought car as is knowing that it would need some work , but I literally needed to replace everything in the car . Instead of looking at my car the guy told me that all 4 of the mechanics I went to were liars . They are dishonest and know that they are selling you crap . I even had to pay to get the car towed myself because they wouldnt come get it . They will tell you that all the reviews on here are garbage but they are lying . Wasted over 3 grand at this place and they have nothing to say ... SAVE YOUR MONEY !!!!!

The guys were nice. I bought my car almost 4 months ago, a few days after I bought it I got pulled over and received a fat ticket because they said it was reported stolen from an impound. Few weeks later I gave my car a wash and found a CRACKPIPE in the back of the seat... Week later it broke down on me, I bought the car as is so I am not upset with them but I just wish they would have been more honest because I knew I would have to put money and work into it. The car is now broken down and considered unrepairable and I still havent received the title. I feel cheated!

Prices are outrageous for crapmobiles. I watched a customer start up a car that was supposed to be in amazing condition and the engine smoked and crap flew out of the muffler. I checked on kbb and they are selling these dented , broken shyt cars for way over market value. The cars are so close to each other the license plates and front ends were smashed into the car in front all up in the bumper. Ridiculous ghetto a$$ place and I would NOT recommend my worst enemy! 0 stars given!

Well I found after going to the store that the reviews I read here were not at all like the experience I had there. I found the staff VERY friendly and helpful. I wanted to buy a cheap car that would last forever (lol) and the sales people were very honest and smart. I found a GREAT car that runs great and they worked with me. I LOVE MY CAR!! thank you Automart! If you want a good deal go see them I highly recommend them!

The salesman I worked with @ the lake st. store in mpls was great!! I think his name is brad ask for him he is very helpful and knows alot about cars. He showed me some cars in my price range and told me weather the car was a good car or not so good. They helped me get financing and treated me like i was someone special. You can trust this guy i will only buy my cars from them.

This place has poor customer service. I asked to do a test drive to my mechanic and was told that was not happening. They have something to hide if a customer cant have the car checked. They also price their cars over the Blue Book Value. Make sure you know the blue book value of the car before purchase. They mark the cars over $600.00 of the blue book value.

All cars inspected? Nah they sell what they can when they can. Cars come off this lot with expensive fixes and more. Also one of the "5 star reviews" is someone from their own store so dont trust it at all. (Thanks Google/Facebook.)

Was looking at a 2003 honda pilot about a year ago that said it had around 80,000 miles for $7,000. Luckily I ran a car fax on it and it said the car has 280,000 miles. Criminals run this used car lot.
