Im not sure where my experience went wrong. My initial visit was great. I was fitted with a pair of glasses and given progressive lenses. Being new to glasses I had ZERO idea what that meant. After waiting 3 weeks for my glasses (?!) I wore them for about a week. I had a hard time adjusting and was told to wait longer. I did and it still didnt improve. I called after 2 months and was told they could get me new lenses for 50% off. Um. OK. So I gave up hoping they would get better. Still they were useless so I stopped in to another eye center and they told me standard policy is 60 days replacement - free. So I called again. She agreed to see me and adjust them. I went back in after about 3-4 months and told them I wanted glasses I could just wear all the time. I just want to be able to see. They agreed to lessen the progression which I assume means take out some of the bifocal magnification. They are usable at a computer but useless in every day life. I could see NOTHING when walking through life with them on - just a blur. I finally saw a different eye doctor today, not affiliated with this center (after a year) and he was shocked that I was even in a bifocal! He was surprised I could even use them. Bifocal was not necessary and the vertical prism prescription prescribed wasnt even strong enough. Beware of this location. I wasted a full year with the wrong prescription.

Very expensive, Dr was nice the exam was good. But I provided my frames and my prescription was almost $600.00!!!! Seriously I still havent picked my glasses up, cant bring myself to pay that. Ok since this review the manager contacted me and was very nice, they worked with me on my glasses and plan on picking them up Friday 5-12-2017 I would recommend Fridley Eye Care Center they have like I said a very nice professional staff and will work with you on prices. Thumbs up!!!! Cheers!

Just LOVE Dr. Kraupa.. and the care the ladies on the "doctors" side of the place give, they are courteous kind, and work with you on any issue that may come up. However the glasses department has a lot of work to do, they are SLOW, often RUDE, and mainly unhelpful. I wish i could give the "doctors" side a 5 but because this review is for both portions, i am going to have to give them a 4 mainly because of the Dr.s and their staff on that side.

I have had wonderful shopping experience at the Eye Care Center. They have friendly helpful staff, and make shopping so much fun. You cannot find a better selection of quality frames, which makes narrowing it down to one very difficult. I know that I will not see these same frames everywhere, making my look unique. I am so glad my hairdresser told me about this shop. I have recommended it to many!

Great place, very nice and large. They do reminder calls (once) so youre not annoyed but do remember. I have the same eye doctor without even asking and he somehow remembers stories from two years ago. Im pretty sure he writes down tid bits in everyones file and reviews them before seeing them but who cares. Its great to have doctors who care.
