I wanted to share a recent experience with other pet owners that might be considering the PET SMART hotel in EDEN PRAIRIE MN. My little dog recently stayed at this pet hotel from 3/31 to 4/12/2016. It was a long time, but it was my only choice. While travelling internationally, I called multiple times to ask about my dog, and was always told she was adapting and doing great. Well, when I picked up on 4/12/2016, my dog had lost a tremendous amount of weight, was super, super stressed out, and had contracted an infection at this pet hotel. My dog was very ill with diarrhea, an eye infection and was extremely weak. A couple of days after that, I had to rush her to my VET. So far, I have spent $600 at the Pet Smart hotel in Eden Prairie MN, and another $400 in Vet bills. I have submitted my bills to Pet Smart, and so far, havent heard back. What I would say is - If you love and care about your pet, DO NOT let your pet stay at the Pet Smart hotel in Eden Prairie MN. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. What my dog and I went through is unacceptable. At no time did the pet hotel tell me my dog was ill and also did not take her to the clinic which is located inside the store. My pet almost died. Please be advised this is NOT a good place to leave the pets you love.

I brought my dog here for a 5 night stay and when I picked her up she smelled terrible! My dog has never had that "wet dog" smell to her in her 4.5 years of life like she did when I brought her back home! Her toys I left with her also smelled disgusting. I thought this was really strange. I thought that was bad enough because now I need to get her groomed, but all of a sudden she starts sneezing and coughing. I thought maybe it was a one off....but no, a full day later and she keeps doing it. So, Im pretty sure she has bordatella for the first time ever (we are going to the vet for confirmation of what Im nearly certain of tomorrow). I called them to ask if any other dogs had it, and as a courtesy to let them know they could have a potential outbreak and they were not helpful, or very nice, on the phone! All they said was, oh sorry your dog isnt feeling well! SERIOUSLY?! I will never, NEVER take my dog to be boarded there again. Id recommend you look elsewhere, too, if you value your dogs health.

This is a well staffed freshly updated store and clean on the inside however, I wish they would literally hose down the front sidewalk regularly as there is always urine on the pillars by the front door. I think if you accept pets on the premises you need to accept the responsibility of cleaning up after them. Pay attention to prices because sometimes ordinary things can be overpriced. I also wish they would replant some of the trees that used to be in the parking lot medians. Now theyre just stumps to be tripped over. Not to mention the dog feces in the medians.

We dropped our service dog in training off for a day at the Petsmart Hotel in Eden Prairie, MN and when we picked him up 3 hours later he was at the Banfield pet hospital with 6 staples in his hind leg. All we have been told is that it was not from another dog. The store is refusing to show us the videos, give us a copy of the incident report and will not speak about the incident with us. They specifically said if we want any information to get a lawyer. I will never use PetSmart for any of my pet needs. I dont even give this store 1 star but had to pick one.

PetSmarts are the best one stop shops around. Huge place, everything you could want or need and pretty easy going except for the occasional hard sell for puppy classes. With grooming and Banfield pet hospitals built in on location it makes things very convenient. If its lacking anything its the more personal experience one finds in a long term vet, or small hometown pet shop. A balance of the two is likely best.

Reading these reviews its obvious that when everything is fine, people dont post a review. But when something is lacking even something small, they zero in on it. Ive had great experiences here. Thereve been some exceptions of course but what retailer is perfect. Overall this store is fine. And no, I dont work there nor am I a "shareholder."

Great team here at Petsmart. Love the passion from the team and the selection of items far superior to the competition. They match or beat any price of a competitor, too. I signed up for the Pet Perks program and I saved even more. Additionally, they send me coupons for the items I purchase, regularly! I love Petsmart!

Dont bother with the grooming salon. The stylists have no skill and customer service is deplorable. My dogs got 4 bad cuts in a row before I decided to say something and the store manager couldnt be bothered with my complaint. If you decide to go I would avoid Jennifer or Autumn. Neither have a clue about dog grooming.

this petsmart had a couple of amazon sword aquarium plants for 90% off which normally retail for $13 each since they were pretty much dead in the containers. this is fine by me since I trimmed all the dead leaves and will let the plant grow out on its own.

The pets hotel is great. Marc and the employees take amazing care of your dogs and anyone who says otherwise is just one of those people who need to keep their pets in their purse and have them be total princesses. They are great and we love them!

I bring my baby girl here a few times a week for day camp and she LOVES it!!! She is always so happy when we pull into the parking lot. Everyone is so nice and Im so happy to be able to bring my pup to a place that loves her. :-)

The store is clean and the staff are friendly but it takes a long time to get help. If you need anything from a specific department you can end up wondering around looking for help. I would not recommend this store.

I have taken my shih tzu there for grooming for the last two years and they have always done a wonderful job! They give him the best "teddy bear" cut he has gotten any where and always follow my instructions.

Very centrally located with amazing friendly helpful staff. Many things for all kinds of pets. A cat adoption area and fish and birds area. No puppies for sale. Ample parking and clean area.

The selection here seems to be a bit lacking as far as dog toys/food/treats, but they have always had great service and an upbeat attitude. The people who work here really love their pets.

the grooming salon scheduled our appointment wrong then wouldnt let us in when we got there despite their mistake, so now we go to petco. the pet hospital isnt bad tho

It is not as big as the bloomington location but staff is friendly and they have a pet hotel that looked very nice and adoption center for some cute kitties.
