I recently went into this shop for the first time and was very happy with the experience. The shop has everything you would want or need for your pet--beds, collars, leashes, toys, treats, clothing, etc. They have the same for cats, too. My favorite part, though, was all of the treats and--especially--the homemade treats. It is an actual bakery and the treats look exactly like people food! The products are all inexpensive and I love that it is a local place. The staff were very friendly--even exchanging pictures and stories of pets. I will never go anywhere else for my pet needs again!

Best place in town is right. I live 15 minutes from Brown Dog Bakery and I still make it a point to get my dog food at Brown Dog Bakery in Ankeny. The owner is fabulous and I love the knowledge and welcome. Before buying my dog food there I shyed away because I thought it was more expensive but really its not. My dogs have been much healthier since changing their food and Brown Dog has led me down so many wonderful paths toward optimal health for my beloved pets. Thank You!!

Brown Dog Bakery is such a great place! Their treats are all natural and completely healthy for all dogs. They also make really cute cookies during the Holidays. I always go to BDB for my Chihuahua and Papillon especially after theyve had a visit to the vet for their yearly shots. Brown Dog Bakery treats ALWAYS cheer my pups up!
