Horrible place to go! I took my ford e350 here and they couldnt get 3 of my rims off! Not only that they beat the crap out of my rims and tires from the inside and outside and bent the heck out of 2 of the rims. And then gave up!!! Before i could tell them i wanted my money back they threw the other 3 tires in the back of my work truck on top of my tools and equipment and told me have a mechanic do it, one that has the proper equipment!!!! So I asked them to atleast let me return 2 of them? and they unwillingly did so! I drove right up the street after 2 hrs wasted at TIRES PLUS to Bobby and Steves on central as well and was worried it was gonna be costly to have real mechanics garage install new tires and considering it was 7ish pm now! But actually it was the close to the same prices give or take 10 dollars! And they luckily are open till 9pm atleast. And the not so funny thing was is that they needed nothing more then a maul hammer! WOWSERS!!!!!!! But it gets worse, they then told me at the real garage how much damage you can do by using a 4 foot sledgehammer and beating the tires and rims from both sides!!! And the the mechanics helper at bobby and Steves said he had previously worked there (tires plus in Fridley) and they trained him to never beat from both sides or on the rim!!!! I would personally think to maybe pound rim with rubber mallet because when they beat the heck out of tires there was ALOT of jarring going on!!! NOT GOOD, I even requested for them to drop the vehicle back down some so the tire would atleast have some weight on it to prevent things from breaking and he just looked at me like I had no place giving the tire guy advise. Little did he know i went to Hennipin tech for 1 1/2 years for auto body and mechanics before I decided to become a plumber. I wont begin to get into how costly the repairs could or might be down the road do there lack of skill and knowledge at TIRES PLUS!!!!!!! Avoid this place at all cost if you are driving a truck or bigger vehicle especially! I cant imagine what could happen if some ones cube truck or any big truck were to have failure on the highway now do to this! Or any vehicle for that matter! Totally disappointed in there skill level and the way I was treated by the teenage manger! Sorry to go on and on! But people need to here this! I hope they make some chsnges for everyones safety!

After researching for new set of tires on the web for our 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe, we decided to try Discount Tire at Columbia Heights, MN due to price, proximity to us and other reviews with positive comments. Also because we use to drive by their shop and we had a general good impression. We decided to order the new tires online (you just place an order, do not need to pay in advance), with exactly the same specifications as the original tires we had on the car since new. Discount Tire did not have it in stock, so they had to order it. On the website, they say that someone from the store will contact you for an appointment but we never got any call from them. When I called a few days later, they said that they got the tires and that "it was good that I called in" because they did not know that the tires were for my order. My wife took the car for the service and was pleased with that - it took less than one hour and the service was well done. At home, I found out that one of the valve caps was missing, drove back to the shop and got it. On the invoice, there is a line saying that " the tire you have chosen is different from the original...". I asked the shop person and he said that this is a "standard" text that is printed in all invoices. Summary: #1-ordering online was nice and easy #2-the shop has no experience in handling online orders, they need improvement here #3-service was well done, congratulations #4-the devil is on the details - for a 100% customer satisfaction, they should pay attention if a cap is missing #5-they should change the text on the invoice - if I bought tires that are similar to the original, I dont think they should write that tires are different from original

Unbeatable service, kindness, generosity, and value!!! I will forever be a lifetime customer! Heres why: I had an emergency flat (nail) and couldnt get my spare on. I am a nanny and had to get home quick to care for my charge. I was one block from Tires Plus (Boooo) and they wouldnt help me without charging the $20 house call fee. I figured the tire was already shot so I drove the block to their store. They still wouldnt help me out without charging $20 and when I asked where the nearest Discount Tires was, they said, "Well, they probably cant find your info, so dont bother. Well match their price and give you $3 off. The total will be $101." I made a quick phone call, and Discount Tires said, "They wont put on the spare for free? Lazy bums. Pay it, come here, and Ill refund it." It turns out I had a road hazard certificate, so the tire was only $9.50, so HE GAVE ME CASH BACK TO REFUND THE REST OF THE TIRES PLUS FEE!!! Incredible. They were quicker to get everything done than Tires Plus was just to check things out. Thank you thank you thank you!!!

I went into Discount Tire company and bought 2 new tires for the car because one had a leak. I didnt have enough money to buy 4. Glancing out in the garage while they serviced my car, I saw high-school aged kids working fast. They said my car was done, I prepared to leave and checked out the tires. They forgot to put valve caps on all the tires! I had to go back into the store to get some and I put them on myself. I drove home. The next day one of the tires I didnt replace was flat. They ended up rotating the tires, putting the new ones on the back, then put the broken one back on! I was forced to get 2 MORE tires. When I asked if anything could be done, the manager didnt seem to care that his employees messed up. The only thing that manager cared about was profit, not customer satisfaction. I know profit is important to a business, but the customer should ALWAYS come first. The manager didnt do anything for me, except try to up-sell me an extended warranty for the tires I already bought! AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

For the longest time, I *thought* Discount Tire was just some crappy tire shop that would sell you whatever they wanted to sell you at high-marked prices. I couldnt have been more wrong. I got a flat tire on the highway. Checked with Sams Club and it was around $130 for a single tire+install. I decided to check out Discount Tire, and found out they could do it for $90. Craig, the service guy at the desk, was extremely kind and generous. Offered extended warranty, as well as, offered to help me find a good oil change place nearby. I came back a week later to exchange that tire and replaced it with two, much better ones. Talked with a different sevice desk guy. And agan, Great Customer service! No questions asked - they took care of me very well - I was in and out of there in around an hour. They treat their customers very well, and it shows.
