Me and my girlfriend went to Minneapolis about a month or two ago just to get away for a little vacation. Went to the mall everyday. The only thing that made it fun was being there with her, otherwise its the same old stuff youd see at any mall. I expected more variety or maybe some stores I had never seen before, but the entire mall is filled with generic, everyday stores and it seems like they have multiples of a lot of stores just to fill up space so that they can be the largest mall. My girlfriend really wanted to visit the aquarium there but the line was so long we couldnt have gotten in before it closed, she was very disappointed and I felt really bad that we couldnt do something that she was very excited about. We could only look down from the upper floor. Having only one entrance to get in with what seems like a very inefficient staff and ticket system was the reason she missed out on it. The only thing that I remotely liked about this mall was the food, a couple of stores and the arcade at the Nickelodeon amusement park. Other than that, well like I said before, she was the reason I was having a good time. Regardless of all these faults with this mall, I made the best of it and decided to just have fun with my girl, after being overworked, exhausted, cranky and irritable for about 6 months. In conclusion: vastly overcrowded, multiples of the same stores to fill up space, some mildly entertaining amusement and nothing actually special. Really overly hyped.

Not like it used to be. Visited when it opened originally and visited it recently. I think the main influence has been of change of box stores and Retail. No longer does the mall offer a tremendous amount of variety of stores. For some reason the mall seems to be very repetitive some places youll see the same store on the second and first level. Also trying to navigate within them all seems much more confusing after they remove the street signs delineating north east west and south. Now theyre only small computer screens that are very hard to interpret to where you need to go and poorly designed to find the store you need. The very top floor used to be an entertainment Mecca now its a shell of the ghost it was in the past offering a hodgepodge virtual reality game area. Compared to the past the new future of them mall of Americas changed and mimics what is the reality for retail stores today. I suppose it was inevitable.

Mall of America is a fun place. Its so massive. It has 4 floors, 2 food courts, a row of restaurants, all kinds of shops, a theme park in the middle, Sea Life, a movie theater, more restaurants on the 4th floor, and even more food spread out randomly throughout the mall. Theres so much to do! Growing up near it, its lost a bit of charm due, and a lot of other locals feel the same, since its such a normal thing for us... But its one of the biggest malls in North America. I believe it was the biggest until Canada made an even bigger one somewhere. It really is a wonderful place with enough shops and food for everyone to get what they want, even if having it right there any time I want to go has made it a little more normal and a little less magical. Id definitely recommend going there!

Its definitely what the name implies... Im not one for shopping all day, especially at a normal mall but the MAO doesnt slack when it comes to providing a little something for everyone. Our last shopping trip was 7 hours and by the end we were still finding new stores to check out. I was especially impressed by the map stations that were surprisingly easy to use and descriptive. I was not impressed however by the 3 lids, 3 sunglasses huts, 2 build a bears, and the lack of chairs...ya know, the "itll only be a minute" chairs. At around 4 it seemed like there was no place to take a break. Every lounge was packed with people and there was nothing much on the upper levels. Other than that we have definitely enjoyed ourselves every time weve gone and do plan to go back again and again.

The MoA, as it is affectionately known, has really shaped up its experience over the past few years. The new north side food court and expansions offer great art opportunities and are a nice welcome. I wish the smokers were nowhere near the entrances however. Sea Life, Lego Store, and Nickelodeon Universe are great family attractions for locals as well as guests. Hit the rides after school for easy access. And get discounted wrist bands from Costco for best value. Freshii, on the 3rd level eat street, is an awesome place for quality, healthy fopd served by people adhering to a positive mission. Go around Christmas for the local vendor pop-up stores.

I go here several times a month just to get out of the house. Even if you dont have money to spend, its great just walking around, getting exercise and people watching. However, there are tons of dog to do if you have extra money to spend. The indoor theme park is really fun, they have a new indoor go cart place with arcade games, an indoor aquarium and tons of restaurants to choose from. They also sometimes have free concerts and autograph events in the rotunda. The only downside is a lot of the attractions are somewhat expensive and on weekends and over spring break time it can get extremely crowded. Recommend going during the week.

Has rides that are similar to those you would find in Orlando with less the wait time. Can take a ride on the zip line, or see Paul Bunyan and Babe while riding the log ride, visit Smaaash to experience the new virtual rides or ride on go-carts, explore Underwater world and pet the stingrays at the end. Still havent experienced the crayola experience but that looked interesting as well. Good food, fun rides, large variety of stores makes this place a great shopping experience even if you are not a kid. Great Wolf lodge is going to open in December right next to this mall which will make this a perfect vacation destination.

My family and I visited Mall of America recently and had an Amazing time while we were there. The theme parks were soo much fun. So many rides to enjoy. Lots of places to eat. You can choose from grabbing a bite to go or choose from many sit restaurants. We ate at Hard Rock Cafe. The food is awesome. The service is fast and accommodating. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially if your visiting out of town, they have many suggestions for other places to see and experience. The mall staff are all great and like to talk your ear off. So much fun and we will be back for more!

There is no better shopping and entertainment experience to be had. Without a doubt. Tons of great food options too. For all price points. My family and I came for a 4 day visit from Canada, we stayed at the Radisson Blu, which was awesome, and enjoyed every minute of our time running around Mall of America. I highly recommend a visit to the mall for any families summer vacation. Your kids will love you for it! The mall is noticeabley clean, newly renovated and very safe. Seeing security everywhere is a great feeling. Well done Mall of America.
