I met the Owners and all the employees by chance working there as a contractor fixing a few issues they had. They sent me home with several different items that they made and my whole family, including extended family visiting for the holidays, absolutely loved there baked goods. All of them actually said they were going to start buying from them. Also, the owners are wonderful and very faithful people who operate their business with the utmost care and concern. They are some of the best people I have had the pleasure and opportunity to work for over the course of 20 + years. The employees are great and you can tell they only choose the best, most dedicated and skilled people to work for them. It is the care and compassion for their wonderful business that makes this bakery a "Downriver Gem." Try them out, you will be glad you did. Take care

We had a destination wedding planned for Ludington this past June. We originally had a baker on that side of the state for our own sanity. Well, that baker in Ludington backed out two months before our wedding. Sue and her team really stepped up and everything turned out fantastic! They were very accommodating and great to work with! We even had cupcakes that had been left over when we returned from our honeymoon two weeks later that were still amazing! Thank you again Sue and team and Sugared Petal Cake Shop!

My husbands favorite dessert is cheese cake so I ordered a New York style from here the cheesecake itself was really good but I was not impressed by the crust made of flour and not graham cracker. Who makes a cheesecake with a flour crust? Ended up just eating the cake part and leaving the crust.

Rude staff. (Cashier: "Sweet HG", black hair, mid-30s?, rounder woman). For someone who works at a cake shop/customer services- she was unfriendly & uninviting. Bad mood? Bad day? Idk. Good treats, but not the only or best around. Cant have a bad attitude & high prices for average sweets.

Recommended by a friend, I was not disappointed. I had the BEST blueberry muffin i have ever had. The specialty filled cupcakes were wonderful. I am picky about my baked goods and this place is a gem. Ill be back.
