I will never use Cake Art Supplies again. I ordered and paid for a baby shower cake for my sisters baby shower. I called the day before to confirm pick up and they said they had no order for me. Nothing had been made. Fortunately, I was able to find my receipt, and they quickly threw a cake together. Thinking this was perhaps a fluke, my sisters gave them another shot and ordered a cake from them for my baby shower nearly a year later. They provided them with a ribbon in the color they were looking for. The ribbon was a kelly green. They went to pick up the cake and it was a horrible mint color! The bakery ended up frosting over it and it was then a deep hunter green. Both very far off from what they had asked. Time had run out and needless to say they were extremely disappointed. In addition, I agree with the previous reviewers...the staff was very unfriendly and acted as though their mistake was some sort of failure on my part.

My first cake from Cake Arts, was over 4 years ago...since then I have purchased 5 more cakes from them. I am a mom of 4 and tend to go birthday and theme crazy and each time they delivered, I give them my idea and they always make it work: ballerina theme, brown skin Barbie cake, belly dancer, even a surprise gender cake where we gave them the letter from the doctor and they did a pink cake with buttercream icing for when we cut the cake to find out the gender. They have always been helpful and extremely patient to my specific needs. They can be a bit pricey, but in my opinion you get what you pay for. At each party someone asks, "Where did you get the cake?". Maybe some coupons wouldnt be a bad idea...or maybe a buy 5 cakes get 20% off your next order deal would work wonders for customers who feel like they are shelling out too much? In any event, I love the staff, I love the bakery, and I LOVE THEIR CAKES!!!

My daughter ordered a cake from Cake Arts because we saw them at a wedding show. She loved the flavors of the cakes they provided. We paid for 95% of the cake & with all the other worries did not get the last amount paid by there time frame. When my daughter went to pay they yelled at her & told her that it was in the contract to pay 3 weeks before. They could have called to give a reminder but all they said was "Its in the Contract"! No excuse for yelling especially when most of the cake was paid for. Also, when we got the cake at the wedding it was not cream color as we wanted it was yellow. We even gave them a picture of the cake & ribbon color for the flowers. They did not follow our instructions also in regards to flowers on top of cake. They dont listen to what you want & there customer service stinks! I wouldnt use them again ever!

I am a home baker and have been coming to Cake Art Supply for a little over a year. Their staff is rarely congenial; they always seem like they are in a rush and "bothered" if you need help. Several times I have purchased prepackaged cupcake liners or candy bags marked as "60/$" and have gotten all the way home (35 miles away) only to discover the number in the package is wrong; Im always short. When I have called in the past I have been told if I dont come back that day they wont give me the missing liners or whatever. I am currently frustrated by their hours, I never know what they are or if they are open, and their voicemail doesnt indicate hours. This place is very half-hearted, Id rather go out to Bakers Kitchen.

this is a horrible place to take cake classes. first of all it is way over priced. there is no class book. to help teach you the proper technique. if you want to learn real lessons on how to make beautiful cakes the proper way and the right way. go to michaels and learn the wilton way. also micheals will only cost you $10. instead of $50 at cake arts. and as far as cake arts cakes tastes. they are horrible the frosting is the most disgusting and plastic tasting and the cake itself is dry, and nasty. do not wast your time there.

I ordered a cake for my wedding day and once it was delivered it was ruined, but the owner took it back to the shop herself, fixed it and had it back in time for the wedding. The cake itself was amazing, perhaps the best Ive ever had in my life. Plus since my groom and I didnt get to have much of it ourselves I called and ordered a second one just to snack on and the owner gave it to us free of charge. Great place, Id definitely call on them again.

The cake was pretty, but not exactly as it was sketched for me in the design, and the frosting started falling down (see photo) by the time the evening rolled around (I picked up the cake in the morning). That said, it was really pretty and they work really well with you to get an idea of exactly what you want! This cake was 2 layers, 8" and cost ~$40. I chatted with two separate women there, and both were very friendly and knowledgeable.

I ordered 3 tired strawberry shortcake themed birthday cake and each tier had a different flavor. We loved the cake and especially pineapple flavor was too good. I also contracted for balloon art from them. Kelly the balloon artist did a great job. She made full arch for the stage and amazing columns. I think the cake and decorations were little pricey but overall i liked it and i am going back. -Mushtaq Mohammed.

I always get my cakes here. There are so many good flavors that most cake places do not provide. There is also a ton of supplies that they always have available and will orer if they are out or dont have something you want. Love love love this place and will always come back. (: PS; the sugar cookie are the best i have ever had and the brownies are amazingggg!!!1

i had a 3 tier princess cake with the flavors of cherry chip,banana and strawberry,it was absulutely delicious,every tier!everyone raved about it from the looks to the taste.would highly recommend cake arts and i know who i will be using from here on out!dorathy thee owner did a great job from delivering to setting it up;)

I make cakes at home and i like to get most of my supplies here. It always smells like fresh cookies or cake and they even have free samples of the chocolate barks they sell. Staff is also personable.

I bought cupcakes in a princess shaped and they did such an amazing job! The 1 year smash cake was beautiful too! Best cake in Toledo. Staff was friendly. Great place!
