10/24/16 - Update Received a call from Michele Solomon, Manager of this location, 10/18/16 apologizing for the service I received. To make things right she offered to have my eyes re-tested and to give me a discount on my new prescription lenses and frames. I went back in on 10/19/16 and Michele was at the reception desk waiting for me. I was escorted by her through the process, which this time was very swift. I think I was out the door in under 30mins. This is much closer to my original expectations for my first re-test. I am waiting for my new glasses to be ready for pickup, when I will get to see if this re-test was successful. The whole team was extremely apologetic and admitted to multiple issues with my previous visit and assured me that coaching and retraining of staff had been implemented as a result of my experience and feedback. So, I retract my statement below that they do not care about your time. It seems that my case was an exception to the norm. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Had eye exam performed on 10/5/16. Went to pick up new prescription glasses on 10/12/16. Prescription was no where near correct. I had to hold things 6 inches from my nose in order to see them! They scheduled me in for a re-examination this evening at 6:30pm. I ended up leaving after 90 minutes of being shuffled from waiting room to exam room without being told that the doctor was running over 90 minutes behind schedule. Only redeeming quality is that they refunded my original exam and eyeglass purchase immediately. Dont go here if your time is valuable to you. It isnt to them.

Really bad experience at this location. I usually have a pretty good experience getting glasses until coming to this location. 1. Takes forever to get service to look at frames. 2. The optometrists rush you when doing the eye exam which is overpriced. They just want to push you through so they can make more $. When I finally got my glasses done they cut the lenses incorrectly. They said they would remake them and about a week later I called and they literally forgot to send them to the lab. A manager whose name starts with "D" is horrible. He is very condescending and acts like hes doing you a favor even when his lab is in the wrong. Just very horrible. The optometrist literally told him these are not cut properly and then he finally swallowed his pride and had them remade. The manager "D" with glasses and a mustache is horrible. Turns out it took nearly another month for them to be remade because he probably forgot to send them in intentionally delayed sending them. When they came back they were not properly cut again . I had to wait another day. The manager named "D" NEVER EVEN OFFERED A DISCOUNT or an Apology. "D" you are a horrible manager and lack customer service skills. You need to be retrained.

I have been a patient at Henry Ford Optimeyes for many years. Normally, I go to the Roseville location (great service, great staff). This time I had to go to Sterling Heights for a specific contact lens fitting. The experience has been bar none the worst experience I have ever had with any Optimeyes. I had a fitting in February but before ordering the lens the office was checking what my out of pocket cost would be. After 3 weeks I started calling for a status it took 9 phone calls over the next few weeks before I spoke with someone only to be told none of the messages I left were in my EMR and the insurance verification had not started. After a few more calls and weeks we finally got the insurance approval but the out pocket expense is still unknown. I understand that I am not the only patient the contact lens area handles but I do not feel it is unreasonable to expect a callback post visit within a week maybe 2 with how much I have to pay for the contacts.

If I could I wouldnt even give this place 1 star but google wont allow it. First off I waited over an hour past my appointment time to even get into an exam room. Was taken from the waiting room to a smaller waiting room where I had to keep my toddler entertained for over an hour until someone figured out they forgot about me ( their words not mine) they also have a very rude receptionist. The only person who gave me a good experience was David But the way I got talked to by Dan today, I will be calling corporate on Monday. Who says Im trying to figure out why you still come here to a patient. Yes Dan Im wondering the same thing Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere.

I wouldnt even give this place a star as the service is horrible. My sons glasses needed to be fix Nick so graciously fixed only the side that was off as the other side was very loose and i had to ask him to fix it also no sence of urgency with this staff laughung and conversanting in the lab as if there not load enough for those so patiently waiting to hear. Henry ford optimeyes get it together this staff has made me a loyal only hf patient Look for a new eye glass company one that values their customers.

Henry Ford Optimeyes on Schoenherr was recommended to me andI would highly recommend it to anyone! Dr. Carter fitted me with contacts that I can now see better than I ever have. Everyone I dealt with was not only professional, but really nice and helpful. Henry Ford is my new eye place and I am going to stick with them from now on.

The first time I really needed help is when I woke up one Saturday and couldnt look around. My eye hurt badly. I called in and they fit in me and I had a great doctor who put me on antibiotics for Periorbital Cellulitis. Then again, I had two pairs of glasses that broke and they fixed both of them. Theyre just great!

Had very bad experience at this location. Now trying to get copy of my prescription and getting run around from them. Every time they say they are busy and someone will get back to you. So far no has call me back. It was waste of money.

Thanks for mentioning the 50 dollar "sitting fee" beforehand. When I called on the phone to see if you accepted my insurance. I paid almost the same as when I paid to go somewhere without insurance. Will not be returning.

Selection is good. They have a wide range of eyewear prices and styles. Very personable service. The glasses are always ready quickly and to my specifications. Optometrists are knowledgeable.

Nice people ok selection. Ordered transitions lenses, and I picked them up at night. Next day, I noticed my glasses werent darkening. Had to take them back and star over.

Spent over three hours here. Exam was quick, but kept me waiting two hours to talk to someone to buy glasses. Go elsewhere unless you have half the day to waste.
