So I went to this Meijer to return some shorts. I go in and head straight to customer service. After talking to the customer service rep I realize I brought the wrong receipt. No biggie. So I headed back to the clothing department with the shorts to look at some clothes. Then after a few minutes I overhear a lady with a shopping basket on a cordless phone saying "he has a receipt in his hand." She was obviously loss prevention working in civilian clothes. Then a manager walks up to me inquiring what Im doing and I tell him how I was going to return the shorts, but forgot the receipt. He then wouldnt let me leave the store with them. I told him that he could check the video surveillance and clearly see me walk in with them straight to customer service. He then says because he personally didnt see me walk in with them, that I didnt bring them in. He was persistent that the video surveillance didnt mean squat. After arguing with him he finally said that if Im going to leave with them that he couldnt stop me. So I finally left incredibly pissed off. Ive worked in retail for many years and couldnt ever treat a customer as if theyre a criminal. I then made a complaint to Meijer corporate which just transferred me to the store and couldnt care less. Ive always had a good experience at Meijer, but this was one that I will not forget and havent been back since.

This morning my son picked up some donuts that I had asked him to get for me. He picked them up around 7:30 AM. When he got home, he told me that they were the only ones left of the kind I had asked for and that they were in terrible shape. I opened the box and the donuts were hard and stale, obviously left over from the day before. In a word, they were inedible. This is not the first time weve had a problem with this bakery. My son had a standing order for 3 specific donuts that he would pick up after his 3rd shift job. On numerous occasions, he would pick them up and they appeared that they had been squeezed and smashed. He complained to the store manager and nothing was done.

Meijers has been on a progressive downhill slope going on a few years now. Stock levels and variety seems much more limited than in the past. Vegetable quality levels have gone downhill. I understand groceries arent a high margin business . . . but when I regularly leave the store lacking several items from my grocery list, they are just pushing me into shopping elsewhere. Love to see them return to their older standards and reliable levels of product . . . sometimes it actually feels like Im living in a socialist society when I go in there . . . half bare shelves or coolers (especially in the meat section).

Everything is clean and new. Smaller than the Meijer on Westnedge, but Ive never had an issue not finding groceries. The biggest reason I come here is that they still have U-Scan lanes with the conveyor belts for people with more than 12 items. The Meijer on Westnedge, which is closer to my house, removed theirs, which means youll be behind the people with 2 weeks worth of groceries when youve got 13 items. So Id rather drive a little farther away to this Meijer to get better service, experience and convenience. Please dont get rid of those U-Scan lanes!

This is a pretty nice store, and compared to other Meijer in town this is a very nice store with a large selection of fresh produce. Although the clothing area doesnt offer as much as some locations, this is not a big issue for me. The food area is kept pretty neat and when Ive been there the selection of food is like most Meijer. Sometimes the fresh food area doesnt have a lot to choose from, but they keep the store pretty well stocked. For the most part, this is a good place shop if you live near this location.

This meijer is horrible. The staff must hate their jobs because they are always rude and miserable. About 50% of the time I have to go to another store after Im done grocery shopping because they didnt have my items in stock.. Seems like they had trouble stocking shelves, always missing sale products. Meat selection is horrible as well. I want to support a localish grocery but the way the staff treats customers has me searching for a new grocery store.. I dont spend 2500$ a month to be treated rudely..

I like meijers, I just wish that I didnt have to wear my winter coat to get groceries. Also I would like it if the mperks were automatically clicked. Or at least grouped together milk, cheese, yogurt group together, baby stuff together. Etc I get very upset scrolling looking for shampoo and have to go through all of them. You have shampoo then diapers then can corn then milk then cheese now theres another shampoo then toothpaste toothbrush grills puppy pads theres another shampoo its very upsetting

Has everything we typically need with a decent variety, but shelves are always a mess and other customers like to block entire aisles. Which isnt specifically the stores fault, but it is a part of the experience when going there. Prices are pretty average, nothing special. Expect no less than a 10 minute wait in line if you have a cart. Overall - Average to below average experience everytime we go.

How can I write this anything but a glowing review? This is my go to grocery store. They dont move things on me all the time. The prices arent beat by any other store, except maybe those giant warehouse stores. But I dont count those. Everyone is nice and friendly. The only drawback to this store is the deli counter. There are like 8 people working and only one person slicing meat. Every. Single. Time.

My only complaint is that the store is not very well stocked. Items that I absolutely need are rarely on the shelves. My family is gluten free and I often cannot find my favorite gluten free items. There are no substitions for those items either. I wish they would keep better account of their inventory.

The staff was very rude. The girl working the the meat looked at me and walked away when I was standing there and needed help. Than another guy said no I cant help u im not on the clock. So I walked around and found someone working in the frozen goods and he helped me. He went outta his way to help.

This is our go to grocery store. I enjoy the clean bathrooms that are so much nicer than Target and other areas. Truly as a mom, I deeply appreciate that!!! Great deals. Sometimes crowded but always well maintained. MUCH nicer experience than some other area stores.

Great Meijer store, clean and easy to navigate. Would be nice to see more small furniture items and home wares, compared to some other Meijer stores this Meijer doesnt seem to have as much stock of those items. But dont let that keep you away, a great store.

This is my go to grocery store but I have to take away a star because the old biz-natch that works the self check outs in the morning always has to make some snide self-righteous comment about the alcohol Im buying before noon. B please?! I work nights!!
