I went into Memorial on Sunday March 6,2016 to be induced for my second child. When I got their the nurse was patiently waiting for me guided me and my husband and 2yr old daughter to our labor/delivery room and already had my postpartum room set up so our bags could go in there and any of my other family could wait in there until after our daughter was born. The nurse was constantly checking up on me and monitoring progress. During labor she was great and postpartum she made sure she checked on not only me and the new baby but also my husband and 2yr old daughter. The dinner for mom and dads after baby is born is a very nice touch and they were very nice to bring in a cart full of snacks and told us to take as much as we wanted for me my husband and 2yr old. The day after deliver I have surgery and the surgical team was great and post surgical recovery nurses were very nice. After I got back to my room the nurses were wonderful and they made sure to take Presley to the nursery at night so I could get sleep. They made sure I was ready to go home and made sure I had a last dose of pain meds before I left the hospital. I would very much recommend Memorial Health Care for anyone delivering a baby.

This hospitals bad reputation is only exceeded by the corruption that takes place at the hospital. For example the facilities director takes a "loan" from a contractor for over $250,000.00. Thats right for over a quarter of a million dollars. Then after the director receives this loan the director goes and hires that contractor to do work at the hospital for years. By the hospital allowing this they are consenting to this type of behavior and also to the immoral, unethical, and possibly illegal business practices. The entire community knows about this and yet the hospital turns a blind eye to this corruption it makes one think how much other corruption the director is involved in and on how large of a scale. For any one that doubts this they can make a trip to the local circuit court and look up case #15-6917, and they can see the suit against the director and proof that he took over 250,000.00 from the contractor. All the proof is right there and yet the hospital turns a blind eye to it all. CROOKED! Go to Sparrow instead.

I have used Memorial Healthcare for my services for 38 years now and I have always been satisfied. The staff are caring, compassionate, kind and very patient. I enjoy the hometown experience I encounter when choosing Memorial Healthcare. I believe that the staff there do their best to give the patient a satisfying experience and I have never felt anything but this. Just recently, a family member made a visit to the ED and was treated very well. Every staff member was kind, and patient with my 95 y/o grandma who had fallen and was bleeding. Every Hospital has its challenges, but I believe MHC goes above and beyond on a daily basis making every patient feel important and cared for in a timely manner. I highly recommend Memorial and I will continue to use their services.

Ive had three babies at Owosso Memorial, as well as a life-threatening issue that required an ER visit, surgery, and a one-week stay (5 of those days in critical care). Are they perfect? No. Ive had a couple of doctors and nurses that werent great. Some things couldve been done faster and better. But Ive had far more good experiences than bad. Im not sure what the reviewer who said theres no nursery is talking about. Maybe theres no official nursery (Im not sure either way), but the OB nurses are excellent at taking the baby so mom can rest. All of the labor & delivery and recovery rooms are private, which is nice. At least, thats how it was for all three of my babies. It definitely has a small-town feel, which I like, but realize some people probably dont.

Went there with my mom because she was having pain after a surgery. Dr Fedewa yelled at my mom saying she needed to call the surgeon (the pain wasnt related to the surgical spot). We called the surgeon and they said Dr Fedewa had to treat the issue at hand (which Dr Fedewa got even more mad because someone smarter than her told her to do her job). She came back in the room and told us the reason she said to call the surgeon was to get a post op appointment (which my mom has). 2 days later my mom got a letter from her Primary Physician saying she no longer wanted to see my mom. We later found out that Dr Fedewa called her primary physician and told her my mom was just looking to get narcotics.

Usually very attentive staff but not so much this visit. Took my daughter to get X-rays and when they wheeled her bed out, there was stuff all over the floor under her bed. Its like they didnt clean up after the last patient. Not happy with that at all. They could also put more comfortable chairs in the rooms for people that are waiting with the patients. The bench chairs are very uncomfortable to sit in for very long. Still much better than going to any of the big hospitals in Flint. They are OK but overrun understaffed and not as friendly. Ive been coming to Owosso since I was a child and will continue to do so.

I wish I would have read the reviews before I went there. I spent four hours in the ER last night, presenting with multiple issues. They decided that only one was important, ran tests for only that, and then declared me fine to go home with no diagnosis. I asked about the other issues, and the nurse looked like a deer in headlights and had the gall to ask if I had told them about it. I had, multiple times. She then asked the doctor on shift, who had NEVER EVEN SEEN ME (Fedewa) and she instructed me to take an OTC medication. Absolutely the worst medical care that I have ever received. Do NOT go to this hospital.

Absolute worst hospital I have ever encountered! The Drs are arrogant, dont appear to listen to, nor care about the patients; the nurses stand in clusters and gossip-all while you wait in a cubicle alone. For hours. I expect a long wait in the ER, but not 10 hours! Not only did they misdiagnose me-they sent me home without thoroughly reading my lab work that clearly spelled out exactly what was wrong. My Dr practices there and she recommends that if its at all possible that I drive to Sparrow. Advice that Im certainly taking.

Amazing ER team. I went in for back and chest pain and ended up coming back again a few days later since my regular doctor was unavailable. After doing the protocol test for my symptoms they went out of their way to get more testing done that revealed a cyst in my spinal cord. This would have taken months through the regular channels of care and I am so grateful for them taking my pain seriously and not writing me off as someone just looking for drugs or attention.

Go anywhere else. If you can make the drive to another city, do it! A visit to Memorial Healthcare in Owosso is to experience highway robbery in the Emergency Department for tests that are not needed. In the past year two ED visits and $19,000 in testing and other fees. Its beyond ridiculous considering they treat everyone that shows up as though you are interrupting their favorite TV show and that your pain is some drug seeking scheme.
