If youre on your way home from work and and dont mind average quality, grumpy stock persons, and occasionally being overcharged on sale items, stop in to see their new layout. If you have a bit more time, youll find lower prices, better quality, and happier employees at the Meijer in Auburn Hills. Recently remodeled, this Kroger is trying to get to the level of some of the other Krogers in the area. Produce is just ok in quality but there is a pretty decent selection. Ive never purchased meat or fresh fish from behind the counter but there is usually someone buying something when I visit. A sushi preparation area is located as soon as you enter the store in the bakery section. It has fresh sushi prepared on site and is a favorite of some of the locals, but I tend to purchase the generic trays at Costco for much less. Aisles were lengthened in their remodel to allow for a larger variety of foods, but it makes getting in and out for just a few items a lot more difficult. Aisles have product neatly organized but they run from the front of the store to the rear without any breaks. A dairy cooler is located on an end-cap at the front of the store for those just getting milk. Although theyve remodeled, many of the same grumpy employees are still around. Dont plan on any small talk or questions about items and dont even think about questioning sale items that ring up incorrectly. On several visits, I was over charged, but trying to talk to someone at the service desk wasnt worth my time/money.
Purchased seasonal dishes at the Kroger at M24 and Indianwood in Michigan at 50% off. Sweet deal! Then I went to the Baldwin Road Orion Township location to buy more as I couldnt get all I needed at the first location. They were on sale but not at 50% off. Questioned this, had to get the manager, after some insistence and showing him my receipt from the day before, he finally agreed to let me have them at half off. He said they were not notified to reduce them to 50% off, although nearest store in the same area apparently did. No further explanation from him was forthcoming, though he did reduce them. Any thoughts on this, Kroger management?
They never have Dr. Pepper, I just moved here and have visited every single day for 16 days, there is NO DP on the shelf. Ive requested rain checks for the sale price, but what good does that do when they NEVER have any? Each day I ask for info about the vendor who stocks the shelves and am dismissed by the staff, they couldnt care less that Im not able to purchase a six pack of soda from them. Im shopping at Meijer from now on.
Selection becomes more sporadic every month. Do they carry the "Works" toilet bowl cleaner or not? Didnt have Dannon yogurt at all for months, then had it for a few weeks and it flew off the shelves, but have abandoned it for yet another Greek style yogurt. Meat has more water pumped into it than ever and they cant seem to consistently keep water in stock. Seriously questioning my continued loyalty to this store.
This Kroger does not want to improve. The line for the deli never changes; it is always long and slow. Clearly they make money on the fried chicken because there are always clerks working on the fried chicken who refuse to help the deli customers. I finally quit going to this Kroger because they wont change in spite of the number of surveys I fill out.
Went to the Deli for some chicken tenders. Having worked at a Kroger deli I knew how things should be done, but not only had they not made fresh tenders all day, and left all of the old tenders out to get dry, they had shut down all their fryers before 6:30pm on a Thursday. I am very dissatisfied with the deli department here.
Kroger has deactivated the ability to use your debit card as a credit card. As I tend to shop every other day and my bank only allows a certain # of debit transactions per month (unlimited credit), I will have to start shopping at other grocery stores. So disappointing because I have typically been a big supporter of Kroger.
This is a disappointing Kroger store on multiple levels. Items frequently ring up at incorrect prices, especially in Produce. Finding a customer service rep to correct the issues is nearly impossible. I contacted Kroger corporate about the pricing issues and received no response.
Great Kroger! Great Location! Most of the staff are pretty friendly. Conveniently located on Baldwin between the hustle and bustle of Great Lakes Crossing Outlets and the quaint neighborhoods of Lake Orion! I sometimes stop here for quick grocery trips on my way home...
It sucked.Never has a store asked how many food stamps i have.Usually I just try to get the hell out of there. Many employees there have severe attitude problems and are stuck on themselves. This Kroger can go bankrupt and close for all I care!!Suckers!!!!!
This is my favorite Kroger in the area...and I have a few within a couple of miles of my home. Its a small, clean store with a friendly staff. They are rarely super busy, and even then, youre not waiting too long in lines.
The bakery department has yet to have the baby cakes from other Krogers in stock. The bakery department service is also inadequate. We seemed to inconvenience them by asking to check the back for a red velvet Yule log.
Very convenient location, except every time I come here the eggs are ALWAYS cracked, and I always seems to find expired food. Always check the expiration dates here. Also very limited to food compared to most Krogers.
My visit was wonderful! Every single person was very kind and went above and beyond to ensure that I had everything! I will shop here in the future! Thank you everyone! Alix Zadiraka
They are and have been very "iffy" with what is in stock lately. I also feel like there are always a couple of bags with tears in them. I dont know if it is the bags or the bagging.
Convenient place for groceries. Prices are about average, while most things i tend to buy are cheaper at Meijer. But Kroger is usually quicker in and out.
Por su amable personal y porque encuentro todo lo que necesito
It sucked. After scanning a full basket of groceries they inform you they dont accept a debit card as a credit card. Only place I have ever had that issue.
Great service. Got free carton of organic simple truth milk to try cause they were out of brand I was looking for (Califia coconut almond).
Great deals on the groceries store, but less than desired rest room. Needs major update due to terrible smells in the ladies room.
Only thing that would make it better is if they had an actual cheese department like some other Kroger stores have.
Today was a bad experience at Kroger. Due to the Cashier..one laxed experience. The other Questioned my honesty..
Everything I need (except bizaro foods) and great, friendly staff. Usually quick check out; I use self check.

This is one of my favorite Kroger. The people are nice, the sales are real and theres a lot of variety in foods.
