One of the things that sets this store apart is the great customer service you receive from all of the staff. Unfortunately, their new checkers and baggers are not as social or competent as those previously employed. Im not sure the reason for the turn over, but I definitely miss the genuine friendliness and smiles that were exhibited in the past. The last two times I went the guy couldnt be bothered to even acknowledge me except to say debit or credit? while he had a full on engaged conversation with another employee. The bagger was clueless, as well. Prices are reasonable and produce is excellent, but I genuinely enjoyed going here because the staff was always pleasant.

Been a happy customer for several years now. Reasonably priced, well-stocked, great meat, good produce, wonderful deli -- lowest cost Ive seen. The customer service is top-notch. I know the employees in every section of the store -- all knowledgeable, helpful, friendly. Will help you unload your cart at the checkout (recently had knee surgery) if you need the help. The store is clean. George, the manager, is very helpful and he has gathered a wonderful staff. They have special ordered items that I requested. They make spending money at the grocery store a pleasant experience. The best! -- Susan

Way over stocked on cut meats. Meat tasted funny when it is not sliced fresh. pre-made dishes from the deli. Potato salad, macaroni salads, egg salads cannot not be sold at a discount if they are past date. Discounting 10 hour old hot chicken a $1 or two does not skirt the fact it is unsafe to sell! most of the dairy section is un-rotated, almost spoiling or expired. Way over priced food for brand name. Need more local growers. Im sorry, just not impressed with the selection, prices, or quality. The staff is friendly if you approach them, but ignore you every second you are there.

Horrible experience! I went for the sales and most of their food is either expired or will be in the next couple week so you could never plan for the month. I spoke with the Manager and he thought it was perfectly acceptable to charge me $2.50 for some onion buns that expired last week. The .59 lb chicken legs listed in the sales add were a dark orange brown. I almost threw up just looking at them. News flash, you can have sales on non expired items just to get people in the door to buy your other overly priced non expiring items.

This place is amazing! My favorite grocery store, I think. Sorry it took me so long to write a review for this place but it deserves five stars. Not sure how or why but they have an aisle of dry and frozen goods that are around a dollar, crazy deals - like they buy them on wholesale or something. Youll always find amazing deals there. Their supply of local food is amazing too - Germack, Boars Head, lots of local foods. And you never wait in line to check out. Best place to get in and out in a hurry!

I am a huge fan of Value Center. The deli is solid (Boarshead lunch meat, fresh and tasty salads/dips) and the beer selection is off the charts. I also have nothing but great things to say about the staff. Very helpful and willing to order certain items if not in stock. All that and the prices are very reasonable. I will return here often for all of my shopping needs (and to satiate my expensive beer habit)!

Always a pleasure to visit this market. Friendly and professional staff with warm greetings. My mother introduced me to this store and we really enjoy our shopping experience. The pharmacy staff is awesome, when my mother lost her prescription coverage, the amazing ladies here helped get her medications at a reasonable and affordable prices until her insurance was reinstated. Keep up the great job.

Best grocery around! Superb produce and gigantic selection throughout the store. The name is deceiving. I actually avoided this store at first because I though it would be a "discount" grocery with nearly expired items and half rotten fruit. I couldnt have been more wrong! Love this store! Very short lines in the check out too!

The baggers are all untrained kids. They have no problem putting your bread and bananas under cans, and overloading bags. Do yourself a favor and dont ask for paper bags. Its almost like they become vindictive. This is such a problem that i have stopped shopping there, which is unfortunate because this store is otherwise very nice.

I love this quirky grocer. We dont get everything here, but its close and perfect for picking up a few things in-between full grocery shopping excursions at Costco or Meijer. Really great prices on some nearing-expiration-date (or just passed it) candy and stuff at the front of the store. Cheap candy bars. 2/$1.

Meat selection is pretty good and deals can be found on most staple items. Service and cleanliness are top notch. Produce is always good, but selection and prices are a bit limiting and on high side. Better experience and less expensive than than Meijer or Kroger but not as inexpensive as Aldi.

I loooove this store! The managers and employees are as nice as nice can be....and I dare you to find a shopping cart that goes cattywampus or has a bad wheel!!! There is always employees around to help you so you dont have to search for somebody...like in other stores. Loooove this store!!

This is my across-the-street supermarket. They have everything you need and if they dont have it they will get it for you , great deli, decent prices, some upscale selection in the food and a fantastic beer Wine and Liquor selection

This is my regular grocery store, and I love it. No automated check outs, plenty of friendly staff, good options- especially the deli dept. The organic options are expanding, and theres always a good deal to be found.

There is hardly ever a wait to check out, the quality in the meat department is excellent and the store brand Spartan are always affordable. Name brands prices are usually not competitive with some other stores.

Decent prices. Very good deli with excellent boars head products. NEVER in over 100 visits have I had to wait more than one person ahead of me checking out. Pharmacy staff is very helpful and always friendly.

Big store. Good selection. Tiny bit overpriced on some items, but you can cleverly avoid those. "How are they doing this" level of deals on some items. Respectable meat department but could have more bacons.

It is a Spartan store. Clean, well stocked, helpful staff. Never a wait at the checkouts. Extensive beer/wine/booze selection. Look for unadvertised deals but check the expiration date and use or freeze.
