0 stars, avoid this place! Lets start with the purchase. The sales rep was your typical promise the world, warranty covers all things commission sales rep. I ask a lot of questions. One if those questions that I asked was about the seat cushions because the couch that I was there to purchase was very comfortable but I had read several reviews about the cushions going flat. I was told several times that they would be covered as many times as needed, ALL things were covered! Mine went flat. Ok, on to calling the warranty company...if you have to place a warranty make sure you tell them that the issue JUST happened! If you dont they will tell you that they only cover issues within a few days of them happening. That didnt matter though because they DO NOT cover seat cushions! In fact, about the only thing the warranty actually covers are small things like say a leg breaks. Back to value city, I called and spoke to a woman about my issue and told her about my buying experience and that their sales people shouldnt be giving false information. She told me that they would cut me new cushions and let me know when they were ready to be picked up. She also told me not to call if I hadnt heard from them in a few weeks because they were backed up. Fast forward 5.5 months, I stopped in to find out what was up. Get to the customers service area and Im 2nd in line but no one behind the counter. We wait about 10 minutes and I ask the lady in line in front of me If she knows where the attendant is. She informs me that she was told the attendants are in another room counting a large amount of money and will be back shortly...uh ok. Time to talk about the absolutely terrible customer service. I have dealt with there customer service people on quite a few occasions and it has ALWAYS been terrible. They make you feel like its a privilege to have them take time out of there busy day to wait on you. I have had them txt on their personal phones in mid conversation! They have kept me waiting at the counter for them until they decided to wait on me. They are not polite, they are not helpful, in fact quite the opposite on both accounts. So, finally a lady comes up and sits down at the chair at the counter. I approach and wait...and wait...and finally she decides to acknowledge my presence. Yeah, What do you need? Really? Thats how you greet customers??? I explain the situation, partially, because she interrupts me as Im talking to answer the phone and puts 1 finger up for me to wait!!! After she gets off the phone she asks me basically to tell her most of what I already told her again! She looks in the system and sees that no ticket was ever created for the cushions nor was there an issue report filed, both of which I was told would be done. She prints out a paper with my info on it and writes a little note and tells me she will give it to "Michael" and let him look it over. I ask if I should call if I hadnt heard anything because of the no call last time. She tells me to call back after Wednesday if I havent heard anything back. Well, today is Friday and I never received a call back so I guess Ill have to call them once again. Excuses excuses excuses!!! Thats all you will get from these people. Lastly, the delivery of the furniture. The 1st couch came with cloth damage and i was told to expect that with that type of fabric...what? The 2nd one comes with some damage but not as much so we accept it because we need to sit somewhere. To the person replying to all of these comments, instead of asking people to email you, maybe try fixing all of these major issues with your store before it goes out of business! In all honesty though, it wouldnt hurt my feelings one bit to see it go, maybe then we could get a good place to shop for furniture with people that know how to show courtesy and appreciate the customers that ultimately get them a pay check. All around terrible experience, shop literally anywhere else. Look at how many negative reviews this place has with similar stories.

I honestly wouldnt even give them one star, but unfortunately you have to leave at least one. I would NEVER recommend ANYONE to shop here or even bother walking through the door! They now have the WORST office staff and the costumer service you will receive from the office staff is subpar, especially if you deal with Kim! I have had two AWFUL encounters with Kim and I have reached out to management about the situations I have endured and have received absolutely no response! It baffles me how a manager witnessed the mistreatment and disrespect I was receiving from Kim and after voicing my frustration to the manager on duty and also reaching out to the store manager I still have not received any acknowledgement that my concerns and frustrations regarding Kim are being addressed. I am a FORMER EMPLOYEE and I know how the management works at this location so I am not surprised at all that my complaint about Kim has been brushed under the rug! NO NEGATIVE situation will ever be resolved properly when it comes to damaged merchandise, mistreatment of customers by staff members and out of stock merchandise which the managers typically know about. However, they do have an okay product if they get it right the first time and it is affordable, but that is really the only positive thing I would be able to say about Value City Furniture. I would really like to be contacted by the regional manager and corporate because clearly that is the only way issues are ever resolved and I know this true because I have watched several unhappy customers walk away still upset because their situation(s) have just been swept under the rug by management and are unresolved until the "higher ups" are contacted and get involved. I believe that Value City Furniture should listen to the customer complaints they are receiving and focus on solving the situations that appear to all be reoccurring. Almost every review you read are all NEGATIVE, but yet it seems that Value City Furniture repeatedly takes no action to correct the unacceptable behavior displayed by management and office staff.

I have had my furniture for just about a year now. I originally bought 2 full living room sets with them. Which we bought the extended warranty and the fabric protection. My lounge chair on my sectional couch has white lines through it. I called Value City Furniture, they told me to call Uniters who they use for the fabric protection, they told me it was not covered and to get a hold of the store. When I told them I already had and they sent me to Uniters, they told me they could do nothing for me. I then proceeded to get a hold again of Value City, they sent out a technician who took pictures of my couch, said he wasnt sure when they would get back with me. My husband called them 3 days later to find out that they stated that it was not something they would cover to call Uniters. I then today 11/18/14 called back to Uniters, they opened up a claim number and told me to have Value City Furniture send them the pictures their tech took. When I did this, I was informed that they would have to call Uniters because they were not allowed to send them the pictures the tech took. HMMMM makes you wonder doesnt it. Anyway, I just received a call back from Value City Furniture and was informed that they would not send the pictures and after talking with Uniters that fading was not covered. My couch is not faded, nor is it worn, it has these strange white lines through it, even the tech said he had never seen anything like this. It is fabric but kinda a suede look to it. I will never again buy furniture from them, and I will let everyone I know not to buy furniture from them. I can not believe this is the kind of service that someone who spent over $6000 with this company gets. VERY DISAPPOINTED!
