Where else can you enjoy four generations of commitment to ice cream and candy excellence? Were keeping up the tradition. Sit on your hands or buy grocery store mediocrity, and youll miss one of the great culinary treats of Detroit. We go an hour or more out of our way to stop and make regular visits. This is only fair since production of Alinosi products is still done at the 6 mile store. The motive here is as much tradition and loyalty as anything else, so why should MY consideration come down to anything else? Our favorite is Chocolate Indulgence in a hot fudge sundae. We head home with a pound of milk chocolate. Make the trip once, and youll be back! Sanders is gone. Strohs is gone. Theyre just names for giant manufacturers run by people who would just as soon sell pencils or hubcaps. Alinosi is the last man standing - the last company still working in the tradition of its founders. Get over there and bring your sweet tooth!

For those of you that enjoy the famous Fred Sanders Bumpy cake,you will be in heaven after sampling both the carmel and chocolate Bumpy cake cupcake. This spot spares no frosting or creme which makes the bumps. The chocolate and yellow cake is super moist too. Your sweetheart will be in awe. .

Probably the best truffles Ive ever tried, and good Americans. The ambiance was a little lackluster, but overall a decent stop on a beautiful stroll down the street. The Champagne truffle was our favorite, but the tequila spice truffle was a close second.

Cupcakes are amazing but, specialty Drinks are less than okay (if you want one I recommend going to Caffe Far Bella just one block over, so much better!) However, if you are in the mood for ice cream and sweets this is the place.

I love Chocolate Bar Café! Their ice cream is my absolute favorite!!! They also have a nice selection of specialty chocolates. I cant wait to try one of the ice cream cakes. This is a very special place.

Clean and very friendly staff. The hot fudge is not Sanders and leave an unpleasant after taste. They have several grab and go chocolate treats, including cakes and ice cream cakes to go!
