PetSmart does have some good prices on many things and are usually cheaper than Petco. You have to register for a their Pet Perks program in order to get any sale prices. However their return policy can be improved greatly. The back of any receipt lists the limitations of certain kinds of items that you can purchase at the store, but these policies are not shown near the products themselves. I was surprised last year when a dog toy for my Maltese, Sparky, started falling apart after a few minutes. Some of the plastic pieces the size of a pea were being chewed off by Sparky. The manufacturers package had the following warning on it: Inspect product regularly for rips or tears and remove toy of damaged or if parts become separated, as injury may result. When I tried to get a refund, the manager would not even talk to me as "It is the stores policy not to give a refund for toys." This is the policy even though it is NOT written on the receipts or posted in the store. Petco and Dottys Pet Center said they would have taken back the toy and issued a full refund. I no longer buy dog toys at PetSmart.

They mistreat their animals so bad and order them from a terrible supplier. In the back rooms and in the shipping process they kill more animals than what they ever put out on the floor. You can find peta videos about thus online. I know someone who worked there who confirmed this for me saying once there was a half dead snake (because of their mistreatment) and they just threw it in the dumpster. GO TO MAGOOS ON LINDEN ROAD

The loyalty card sales can be pretty good, and their selection is extensive, but on multiple occasions Ive waited 20+ minutes for an employee to help me at the fish wall. I ask an employee for help and they rush off to fetch another employee. They must be understaffed, as the one employee that can help me is usually caught up helping someone choose a small animal.

This place has all of the pet supplies you need as well as a dog training center and adoption area for cats and dogs. They have a large variety of fish. They have birds, rodents and reptiles. They have a member program which is nice, they do offer good discounts to members. We buy our dog and cat food here for the member price.

Hands down the best pet store in the area. The employees are phenomenal and knowledgable about EVERYTHING pet related. The animals inside the facility are treated with the utmost care, ive been shopping here for years. Every employee ive come across has such an intense passion for pets. I wouldnt not shop anywhere else!

The staff at our Flint area PetSmart are helpful and courteous. They are willing to help us whenever we need to find something specific for our pets. We also always like to go into the adoption center to play with the cats.
