I was shopping at Hobby Lobby and was having a good experience until I lost my wallet with my keys, drivers license, and money in it. It was approaching closing time when they told me that I needed to leave regardless if I found it or not. I asked if I could take a quick look around because without my keys I was unable to go home and had no money anymore to find a ride or anything. The manager, Jessica, told me to leave the store because she and her staff wanted to go home. Mind you, I am an 18 year old female being kicked out of a store at night with no ride and in Flint. I have never been a trouble maker and have a respectable reputation, yet I was being treated like some kind of criminal. The real kicker is that after I was out of the store sitting by my car in the parking lot trying to figure out a ride, the police showed up. Thats right, she called the police on me for wanting to look for my keys and wallet, 10 minutes after closing and after I was already out. She was very rude and you can tell she puts her own wants above those of a customer, especially when the situation could have even potentially put me in danger. I will NEVER shop here again because of this.

In 2008 I bought several yards of material for a renaissance gown (I work as a member of the royal court) and my costume director did not approve my fabric. So, I still had the reciept and it was within a few days of purchase, and the managers of both the Flint and Utica stores refused to take the fabric back. I buy alot of stuff from Jo-Ann Fabrics and know that you cant cut it or wash it and then expect a return. I even kept the fabric neatly folded and in the original bag. Nope, they refused to take it back, even though both stores still carried the SAME EXACT MATERIAL! What a bunch of two-faced a$$holes. Their policy is on the back of the reciept but they basically cancel it out by saying "we can refuse any return with or without presentation of original receipt." Word of warning - dont buy fabric at this place unless you are like, 100000% sure you can use it!

I love hobby lobby , BUT I love the people that work there more ! They treat you so well and make sure you know what you are in need of and make sure you want for nothing . I think that they train there people the best out of all the hobby shops I ever have been at . If I lived closer I would be broke from shopping there. I have been there over a dozen times and still have not seen the whole store , Plus there products are all very good . I can say no wrong except that they are not opened on Sundays. I go to church but I can shop on Sundays too lol . I know them people that work there need a break because they are so great . WTG

Wasnt happy... I went into hobby lobby by to get scrapbooking stuff... Not realizing they close at 8 ... They were rude at this location ... I got rang up for 11.99 for a 1.99 item... Then it was a huge deal to get the situation worked out and also rude again had to check the cameras ....Jus wasnt a good experience .... Its a Christian based store ... Should be a lot more friendly ....

Its a wonderful store! The merchandise is creative and totally my taste of items. The stores Ive been in (about 4 Hobby Lobbys) are clean, well organized, happy and helpful staff, great priced and my husband and I love the owners principles. Its their right to stand by their beliefs. I thank them for this. We will continue to enjoy our shopping at Hobby Lobby!!!!

Hobby Lobbys policies of not wanting to hire homosexuals, not wanting to recognize non-religious customers, and trying to sue the government so they wont have to insure their workers birth control should make any rational progressive person avoid the chain until they change their hateful practices.

The workers are extremely rude there save your money and go to Michaels the workers dont even know how to make change without a computer Jessica is the Magee there and she is very un empathetic towards anything calling the regional manager today.

There is no comparison to JoAnn and Michaels. Hobby Lobby does not accept competitors coupons. What a disappointment! The store feels like a big box where I dont matter... Just my wallet does.
